I don't think anyone should bother with comparing individual players from each team as this imo is irrelevant. Who wins the match on any given day depends on a) how the 17 individuals are able to perform as a team (the best set of individuals don't always make the best team) and the level of performance from each individual on the day in question.

Its only abit of a discussion i think we all know it doesnt come down to who has the best players as its a team game. As i posted earlier in the thread think its going to be close myself i predict 18-10 for the second week in a row

in an earlier thread re-the next 3 games, leeds, saints, wakey, speculating how many points we would be hapy with from those 3 ?

i said 4 with wakey being a potential banana skin.

I'd just like to congratulate Wakey on the superb 54-14 win at the DW, as Vasty pointed it out so well, on paper they are superior in so many ways to Wigan so it was only to be expected

Lol Wakey were the worst team I've seen at the DW this season.

With all our injuries before and during the game Wakey should have at least offered some sort of challenge.

Wakey were awful today, absolute woeful.

Their following (despite the mid afternoon kick off) was just as poor - 600 at the most.

im amazed that we managed to beat a far superior wakefield side with Phelps, Carmont, HH and Ridell out before the match. with Roberts, Lockers, Tommy and Fielden injured in the game.

for a team with that injury list to score 50 is a real effort. just shows leeds what can be done. we are not here blaming our injurys, we take them on board and look at the positives. such as Goulding, Deacon (today he was excellent), Farrell, O'Carrol, Mossop. all players that at the start of the season may not have been 1st choice, but a team including all of those would still leave me feeling confident we could beat any side in the SL.

not to mention Ainscough, Tuson and Davies who could all step in if any more injurys happened, as well as some of the younger kids like veivers, marsh and charnley who could all step in as well. AND Karl Pryce and Feka.

I was one who thought we may come and give you a close game with the clubs respective efforts on Friday and also disagree that every one of your players is better than every one of ours. In one of my posts I also commented that we needed to slow you down and if we allowed you to get the ball out wide quickly it would kill us.

By the sounds of it on the radio that's exactly what happened, you blasted us off the park in the first 40.

Well done anyway you're looking red hot and are clearly the team to beat at the moment. Nothing is ever won in April though other than league points, keeping up and then challenging at the right time is what matters and what will be the big ask.

Hope Roberts can get back playing ASAP too, real shame for the lad...

I honestly get no joy at all from gloating when there's genuinely nice supporters of the other team. You're dead right not every one of our players are better than everyone of yours, vasty just made the stupid arrogant assessment that most of yours where better than ours (and in the case of the pack particularly, totally blow us off the park).

Hope you get back to winning ways next match, though I think losing Brough is going to continue to cause you problems, and doesn't Tronc (your best forward by a mile) go after the quins game?

People like Vastman, I suspect, are a big embarrassment to their own supporters. It only takes one compeletely empty vessel like him to come on here and wind everybody up, and suddenly there's a deluge of anti-Wakey posts in general, which does not really reflect the true feeling between the clubs.

I challenged Vastman, if Wigan won, to be a man and come on here and admit the truth. It's no surprise that there's been no sign of him since. I am impressed, however, that other Wakey fans have come on to chat, and to offer condolences for our injuries. True fans there, for sure.
