Bet you didn’t say this about Cunningham when he walked out on the national side or the same with Long? If they players can’t be ar$ed is it any surprise some fans can as well?
My problem with international RL is that it’s a joke. We are constantly having it shoved down our throats and are expected to support it no matter what. Why would I want to go and watch a friendly against Wales? WTF are we even doing playing against a team like Wales same also goes for France as well. Lets let these tier two nations play against the likes of Scotland, Ireland, Samoa & PNG as there is a group of nations at that level which are competitively close to each other.
I must have missed the Australia vs PNG match? It never happened because it’s not beneficial for either team. Australia has the Origin to prepare them and develop players. NZ for the most part select players from a higher league and play Australia in a mid season test which again prepares them. We play Wales in a friendly? Can you not see the level of incompetency from the RFL here?
I won’t simply support an idea out of blind faith or love for the game. If it think it’s wrong for the support them I’m not going to happy clap about it

You think so? I spent a lot of money to support Long on that tour and thought his actions were reprehensible. KC's career was nearly ended playing for GB - he was often injured. If trhe injuries weren't genuine (a number of them clearly were) then I find that reprehensible too.

It's a warm up game, like our game against France. Who do you suggest we play, a Mars XIII?

So you're supporting the international game by NOT supporting the international game. Interesting concept.
I look forward to you whinging about how far we're falling behind RU and how we can't compete (which is directly attributable to an inferior international game).

Cunningham did two things he played RL off against RU and then took RL’s money and ran straight to his mates Shaun and CARL long to have a laugh at RL’s stupidity. Many, many players have been injured playing in international Radlinski included in 2003!

Guess we may have to. Not like we are going to improve with the odds stacked against us-Under prepared, poorly ran & coached

There are a number of games we could play that would be a much more competitive game than the pathetic Wales or France ones.
We could play a proper origin game, a possible vs probable’s (defiantly one game I would pay to watch) or even an imports vs game. Either one with the right backing and proper marketing would be more beneficial than what we’ve got.

We aren’t falling behind RU we so far behind them already were a 2nd teir sport that they don’t even bother about. They just Cherry pick our best players when they want and then get on with their own business.
At the end of the day you’d probably watch paint dry if the RFL endorse it as a way to develop an international game in RL. I’m not going to hand over my hard earned cash to endorse it

| McGuire and Tomkins would form my halfback partnership tbh.
I'd also have Eastmond in at left centre considering we look unbelievably weak outwide. I'm not a huge fan of Shenton tbh and as for the selection of Sykes
Eastmond and Lee Smith would be my centre pairing which even though exciting in attacking terms doesn't half make you worry defensivly when coming up against Inglis, Hayne, Hodges etc.

Agree completely. Unfortunately I don't expect Smith to go for that line up. I expect Sinfield to appear at stand off and Sykes somewhere in the threequarters.

Just like you lot got behind Radlinski/Robinson/Farrell/Edwards/Betts/Johnson etc etc etc etc etc and didn't blame any of the Wiganners when we got considerably closer to beating them than this lot will!

If it does he'll never become a top class player being that mentally weak.
What he should be doing is showing Smith he made a mistake whilst training.

| People have got very short memories, don't forget Smith was the coach at the World Cup last year and what a shambles that was, so why expect him to pick a player in form as against somebody who has hardly played for the last 3 months.
In any other situation after the World Cup he would have resigned as England coach but being as we have so little in coaching ability in the UK this is what happens. Not a moan just facts.
Look at who is coach of the year in the UK, Nathan Brown, the very same who was kicked out of St George after 6 years of not much, who takes over there Wayne Bennett and they finish Minor Premiers, what does that say for the coaching in the UK?

No, he should withdraw.
Professional RL in this country is a joke, the worst ref ever to hold a whistle is the refs boss, a meddler who bankrupted a once proud club runs the game, and a fu*king Aussie gets players to sign for him with the promise of an international shirt regardless of form.
The most pathetic part is, when we beat France, Smith will use is as justification to select the same team v Australia. Who by the way will beat us by 40 points, easy.

One of the problems i have with Eastmond and it's something that has been happening for too long, is that when he does take a big hit, he is looking for the trainer straight away.
It happened in three academy / reserve games I saw him in and in both the elimination semi v Wigan and the Grand final v Leeds.
He needs to show a bit of the Shaun Edwards "don't let them see you're hurt" mentality.
