I've never seen such a none issue blown up out of all proportion quite like this before.

If Cunningham hadn't spat the dummy out nothing would have been said or done by the RFL and i think we all know that.

FFS get real, it's rugby, he was perfectly legally tackled, it's not tick n pass, move on. Just cos everyone else tackles around the torso / head, it's noticeable when an effective low tackle is made. It's certainly how I was taught to tackle by a former Wigan 1st team coach.

The argument is not "look what someone else did". The argument is what a joke you lot are for criticising a Wigan player for a 50-50 tackle when a week earlier you were all defending a 95% certain punch in in the face by a Saints player.

Denying that such double-standards are embarrassing is also the attitude of a child.

And what you personally feel about the Cunningham punch is neither here nor there, as a lot of your folk reckoned it was nowt and you apparently defend their right to say that.

The fact that they all now hate Sam Tomkins is a very good sign. What it really means is they fear him.

They are really beginning to hate Tomkins on the Wire forum too. A few of them would really like to see Morley sort him out. Apparently he's always tackling players at knee level, from the side, when they standing still. He always does it. Always.

Personally I'll take the few one eyed supporters hatred of him as a compliment.

I sometimes wonder if i'm on the Wigan board ... I have to keep checking...

They were created to highlight that aiming at knees in the tackle are dangerous and something we don't want to see in our game, I agree there are some bellends who slag good players off from other clubs but at the end of the day it's still the same. It's going to be ban central on both forums come saturday night.

He did not have knees in at the tackle he was slightly late and came in from the side making contact with knee area of the tackled player.

The actual wording from the RFL is. (Undue pressure on knee/contrary conduct in 20th minute (Cunningham))

So what you are saying is that the RFL are always right and don't make mistakes.

At the end of the day a thread wouldn't have even been created had it been one of our less profile young players.

The reaction is just an opportunity to vent fustration towards a player whom some opposition supporters deem a threat.

In reality, the 'incedent' (that has gone unpunished) isn't really that big of a deal and the fact there is still whinging, crying and baying for blood by rival supporters simply compliments Tomkins performances and potential.
