As i'm sure all wigan fans are I'm absolutely gutted we lost that tonight, however it was such a tense affair and the tight competitiveness of the game imo neither side deserved to lose, hope we learn from this and are able to take the next similar game like this.

On a positive note, 1-17 played their socks off, yes roberts made a lot of errors but he also made a few breaks and was fairly solid in defence. Mossop and flanagan were superb, sam as always was very good in attack always causing problems and his work ethic in defence is evident for all to see.

We have a bit of a selection headache next week, imo mossop to play instead of joel, flanagan in for goulding on bench, lockers to loose and bailey back to SR. Looking forward to next week especially if the commitment and desire match tonight we could get a chance of redemption at wembley.

There's a difference between playing smart tight and dumb tight and for me Wigan played dumb tight. Not really wanting to be critical of any of are players, are right hand side of J Tomking, Gleeson and Amos were atrocious and a good example of why we lost that game. Rushed balls, impossible passes and generally dumb play is all that came from those three yet nothing changed, which makes me wonder whether even a message from Noble went out to correct it.
I still harp back to the fact that they kicked to Roberts and had great success from it, yet we didn't kick to either of there dumby wingers, which for is a big contributing factor to are loss that I blame on Noble for either not spotting or telling the players to do, it was negative play not just against saints but are selves as well.

Spot on with the right side...........it was terrible in Saints 20m area.

Saying that they weren;t that crash hot in our 20 either. Did my eyes play tricks with me or did Amos actually grubber through on our own 20m line in the first half

Yep. He was actually held back and should have got a penalty for it but it was a baffling thing to do in your own 20.

Ps Mossop and Hansen were both immense tonight and Flanagan must have put in 40 tackles tonight.

Perhaps a lesson in ruthlessness will be learned from tonight, but I am still very proud to be a Wigan fan.

Assuming the average level of intelligence on the board is, well, comparable to the national average it wouldn't surprise me - after all, this board has the pleasure of hosting BreXXKenneXX, and so there would need to be some serious smarts to counter his deflationary effect.
