I'm getting more disheartened with rugby league and my own club with every passing day ,or so it seems, it almost feels like a chore going to games at the moment .
Then a TIT like this turns up and and i remember why I'm proud to be a warrior .

Only acceptable if they're giving the proceeds to charity, otherwise they should definitely not charge for it.

It's very tasteless. Shouldn't be happening. Very disappointed by the club, who is to blame for this I wonder?

Is the club really that hard up that they have to SELL a privilege like this on [uebay[/u?!! I'm all for a bit of corporate ingenuity and I appreciate they are looking at ways of creating new income streams but this just smacks of a lack of class. Ebay for god's sake. This is NOT what Wigan RL is all about.

I agree. No problem with an eBay shop but this is not the sort of thing that should be for sale in it.

I'm actually thinking about bidding to screw the auction up.

Something like this should be run as a competition for schoolkids across Wigan. When I was a lad I would have killed for the honour of leading out a Wigan team in a Cup semi-final. A proper once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a future fan.

And now, any old scrote can pay for the privilege and Wigan pocket £50 or so. Stinks
