Interesting selection of Leeds muppets coming on here this week, many of whom we haven't seen very often before.

Our normal Leeds visitors tend to want to debate about the rugby. But this week's bunch seem more interested in celebrating or trying to excuse the violent incident last Friday.

Clearly certain types of events will bring out certain types of people. But it doesn't really surprise me that this particular bunch are feeling so defensive. After all, they've just watched their full-strength team not only be out-footballed, but be outmuscled and basically battered, into the bargain.

You need to check back particularly on some of my more recent posts on this board.

The current Wigan side is a good side might even be a great side time will tell.

However its obvious to me that a great many of your current supporters are relatively new to the game and lack a deeper understanding of the ebb and flow of success.

Well time will tell what the judiciary think but, having watched the match again and noted how often Ablett targets Tomkins throughout, surely on team orders, I fail to believe that there wasn't any malice involved. 'Clumsy' is one word for it, and maybe Mr Ablett should be taught to be a bit less 'clumsy' in future by being banned for two games.

I think the charge he is facing is a "Reckless" challenge which carries a 1 -3 matches possible penalty.

Your first comments highlights to me again some inexperience of the nature of the game. Are you suggesting that team orders or targeting a particular player is illegal ????

I doubt the DC will take anything of that nature into account...much to the disappointment of many on this thread no doubt.

On the "malice" theme perhaps you should extend your viewing to the end of the game and the players reactions to one another.

Many players seeking out particular opponents to congratulate them and shake hands on a well contested game... which Wigan were deserved winners.

Anything less than 3 match ban makes a mockery of the disciplinary panel. It is much worse than Colye's and therefore 3 match is minimum. Wether Leeds fans like it or not. He ran towards Tomkins from a long way and had time to measure him up for a tackle. Its a dirty tackle and only reason that Wane said what he did is its not in the nature of the current Wigan coaches to criticies other teams. Unlike many Yorkshire coaches i might add.

But this is Leeds he wont get a ban. And if i was the Wigan coach i would start asking questions publicly about the process.

According to a local radio station hes got a 3 match ban, not official yet though.

If the local radio has reported correctly BEFORE any official announcment I can see grounds for an appeal ......
