I think it would be colder at an away game at Bradford or Cas this year. Never hear people complain though.

The situation with your grandparents is obviously very different, I wouldn't expect anyone that age to travel all that way anyway. They have probably done enough of that in their time!

It is a bit strong, but if people stopped moaning and just went to the flipping thing they would love it! I havn't spoken to anyone who didn't enjoy it! 7 games for an amazing price.... I'm going down for the day and have a season ticket and I'm getting 4 games for less than a tenner! Awesome. Why do people complain?

I only missed the first weekend in Cardiff and all 3 since then have been superb and I'm sure this one will be just as good. If the RL community supported this event then it would be huge for the sport! The whole country would know about it if it was full for the weekend.....

It's cold at OT and yet we normally hit around 70k for one game. This is now the first game of the season with 14 teams involved! We should be aiming for 70k over 2 days AT LEAST!

When it comes to the magic weekend I'm not sure the RFL could do anymore to make it a success..... if the same event was put on by the RFU then the stadium would be full over both days pretty much throughout the day, the RU fans would snap tickets up and I'm sure the RFU would be able to get some good entertainment to keep fans in the ground.

I can't wait to get going to cardiff, friday monday staying at the ibis in cardiff. I don't see how anyone can moan at this event. I think they have it spot on this year.

What more do you want from an opening weekend? Wigan v Saints, Hull v Hull Kr, Leeds Bradford. These are all mouth watering games, that's even before mentioning the Hudds Wire game which has the potential to be a corker!

In my opinion this weekend really should attract 40 k each day. I'd expect more people to travel due to it being the opening weekend of the season the pricing is rediculously good value. What other sport could you watch all the games for 20/30 quid?

Cardiffs by far a better place than murrayfield was, pubs right outside the ground, accomodation right in the centre! Can't wait!

the only problem i have with this weekend it clashes with other sports on the saturday theres going to be thousands or wigan, saint and wire fans with cardiff city playing at home at 3pm on the sat and wales playing scotland at 5 away but fans will go to pubs in the centre to watch the game in my opinion i think its going to be manic in the centre

Personally never been to a 'Magic' weekend before because of bank holidays and working



But couldnt get this one booked off soon enough when fixtures come out, and its the perfect game to kick off our season - the best derby in SL.

Should be a cracking weekend, have a laugh with our fans and other supporters and lets just remind other fans who are the champions

You couldn't do something like this with football. But League attracts a more sensible fan base.

sorry if this has been mentioned but just seen a post on bbc sport forum that wigan have announced on there twitter that they have sold over 5k for the magic weekend not sure if true but if so or near that figure then a brilliant effort from the wigan fans should be a great weekend

The approach to the ground from the City centre is full of little alleyways with loads of bars. The Cardiff City ground is a little distance away, so their fans shouldn't be anywhere near us RL people.

Been to the last two in Edinburgh but this is the first at Cardiff. First game of the season, playing Saints, £12.50 a ticket, all day sesh - bit of a no brainer really

Currently in swansea so this weekend is just down the road compared to wigan! Its a shame they put it on the same day as six nations as more poeple would of gone aswell
