| Let me guess. It was Noble's fault the players knocked on, missed the tackles, etc.

| Quote Leeds have a very, very good team. Yeah, we contributed to our own downfall by knocking on every 2 mins, but if those two 40/20's had of come off for Leeds it could of been a different scoreline. They scored off both of them and our heads went down.
A positive would be the response we gave after the half time interval. We came out fired up and matched Leeds. We had 2 try's disallowed, which on another day could of gone for us'"
Ifs and buts if we had a quality side we may of given them a game, but we've not.
Thought that was all part of the game to try and get 40/20's so you can score off them. 2 tries disallowed because they wasn't tries end of story if they where tries the would of been given and seeing as they wasn't means they weren't legitimate tries.
We were/are a mediocre team and until something is changed from the top down to the playing staff we always will be a nearly but not quite team.

It is ifs and buts but as lothlorian said, we were very unlucky with some calls etc. Leeds got the momentum after the two 40/20's and took us apart, our head's went down and we conceded too many errors on the back of that.
As for getting rid of the playing staff, you are a moron. We have a young squad that can only improve

Not sure i'd agree about the 2nd "no try". Fair enough he was in the way but he doesn't have an obligation to move and i dont feel he purposely put himself there to block the defender. Not that it would have made much impact on the result. You were well an truly outclassed tonight.

| Leeds came out and caught us on the back foot imediately with 40-20, we made some silly errors and our forwards couldnt match theirs, which in turn makes it a hard job far our halfes. We did well to come out up for it in the second half and unlucky to have try's disallowed, which would have got us back in it. Hat's off to leeds they were superb, but dont slag off wigan for playing with a bit of passion and trying to put right the mistakes. any team was gonna get mullered at headingly tonight.

| We didn't get the ball in Leeds' half until about 30 mins in. You can't score points if you can't keep hold of the ball and make the yards.

| Leeds needed to prove a point tonight, with the poor show against Manly and just scrapping home against Wire. They needed to put on a show and they did to a certain extent but I still think the final scoreline flattered them somewhat.

Seconded.
I'm as disappointed with the final scoreline as the next wigan fan. But Leeds ran very hot in the first half and had something like 80% of their possession in our half. Their passes stuck and we couldn't live with the speed of their POB.
We tried our best in spells in the second half but we were always chasing the game - so our composure and ball control wasn't good.
Same old story as we saw many times last year - the big difference is that we were in that position tonight mostly because the opposition were very good in the first half, not because we'd put an average team in the driving seat with our own poor play.
No, that doesn't make me feel any better either

| Leeds fan in peace:
That was certainly our best performance of the season (coming off the back of poor performances against Manly and - in an attacking sense - Warrington). The movement around the ball carrier in attack was certainly more purposeful and our kicking game was massively improved.
I think that a lot of quick balls caught you out. Not to the extent that we were scoring directly from them, but because we were getting big gains of 10 yards or more fairly cheaply. I've always been on the view that Noble teams, particularly at Leeds, like to slow the game down to a snails pace and (thankfully for us) Ian Smith didn't allow that to happen.
That Wigan team should be better than that. Hock was well marked out of the game for me - whenever he had the ball there were 3/4 Leeds shirts around him. The Wigan three-quarters should have been much more dominant against a very youthful Leeds back line (take Donald out and the oldest player in the Leeds 3/4s was just 22). Likewise, Mark Riddell should have been more influential given that his opposite number was a second-rower and I'm sorry, but Amos Roberts and Stuart Fielden are both a complete waste of space.
Fair comment?

Some fair comments there mate.
Roberts was poor tonight although he has done ok for us so far. Fielden is a worry but he did start last season much in the same way only for him to have a very good 2nd half to the season.
As for the game as a whole i thought our start killed us tbh. We made a few too many errors and Leeds took the chances on the back of those. We had chances of the back of your errors early in the 2nd half but lacked the quality to take them. Thats were we need to improve. We don't seem to have a real cutting edge in big games to get over the line.

Sorry, but the score flattered you. The best team won, but Wigan were worth more than they got tonight.
You were good in the first half. Some serious luck went your way in the second. Don't listen to Eddie and Stevo - they have an agenda. Try watching the game and making your own mind up. End of.

Well I suppose so.
But I've always thought the scoreline is always a true reflection of the game. I reckon most coaches would say the same - I know Paul Cullen would agree, but he doesn't count.

| We are just short of a couple of decent forwards.
Sam Tomkins got some tonight.
If our loose forward was anything, he should have sorted that out.

I dont think the score flattered them at all. I think it was a fair result. We didnt have good ball position in the Leeds half until the 30th minute before that they were battering us and they could of scored more than 22 points if it wasnt for our good defence.
I have mixed feelings about tonight. On one hand we were very unlucky, the few proper chances we had in Leeds half we looked dangerous and could of scored if it wasnt for silly mistakes. But we made far too many mistakes and stood back and gave Burrow time to attack the line or put in a kick.
A few positives can be taken from this but it just needs to be forgotten about and look forward to next week and get back on track with a good win.
