Evidently, the Noble period at Wigan is not going to end cleanly, and the more it drags on the more awkward it's becoming for all concerned.

I think this is one thing IL needs to sort out ASAP. I appreciate that no move will be made while we're still in the Challenge Cup, but we surely know by now that we've either got the guy we want for next season - in which case we should announce it at the first opportunity, or we haven't - in which case Noble should be given the extra year that he wants.

If someone is stringing us along, I reckon it's time we called his bluff.

We have got the coach we want for next season and i have been told its on a 3 year deal.

If we had no one lined up do you think IFL would be saying both sides are weighing up their options with only 4 league games remaining and when we sit in the cup semi.

I continue to see the name Lam linked with the post but there could be a problem with his visa prior to him being confirmed in the post.

Why would there be a problem with a visa or work permit for Lam?
His mother is British, from Liverpool I think.
Surely that would see him OK.

As i understand it, or have been told, that he needs a visa to work in the UK, i am not sure where he stands with regards his parentage, but it was thought by the person that told me that he needs a permit and due to lack of first team coaching he may struggle although his work as PNG national coach could sway the visa in his favour.

I hasten to add this is from nobody connected to the club, just what i was told in passing, could be way off the mark, but it was just something i was told.

Lam doesnt fill me with any excitment at all.

Does he have a good rep as being a up and coming coach ?

dont see how its a step forward getting rid of noble to bring in lam IF thats who it is.

I hasten to add i have no inside info on Lam it could be way off the mark, and while I would prefer him to Noble, just for a shake up by a lad with a great mind for the game demonstrated by his playing ability, I too would prefer to take McGuire for his involvement with the best system in the game currently.

Just refer you to my last 2 paragraphs and when the coach is named i can then sit back with personal satisfaction.

Wigan is one of the biggest RL coaching jobs in world RL.

We have 6-8 weeks of our season remaining before we start towards 2010.

Believe me our coach is signed sealed and delivered for next year. It has simply not been made public.

No offence, TD, but we hear this sort of thing from you a lot. I don't expect you to tell us who told you, but this "I know something you don't know" pantomime is pretty wearying.

And just out of interest, how does being told who the next coach will be give you personal satisfaction? It's not like you've achieved something.

Most fans would like to know who the next coach will be, but believe it or not, proving or disproving YOUR theories is not high on their agendas.
