From what I heard yesterday we've now sold out the lower tier and also there's only a few remaining in the side blocks. That's why they've had to open the upper tier presumably for the walk ups.

The top tier of the Direct Golf UK Stand is closed, for both teams, Which would hold about 4138, The Britainia Resue Stand is closed, which holds 7'000, which is quite shocking. That would mean Wigan were given over 6k (4054 in away stand, and 2069 Direct Golf UK Stand bottom tier), and Leeds given about 7k (2069 from Direct Golf UK Stand bottom tier and 5'170 in the Fantastic Media Stand). Leeds have only just opened the top tier of the Fantastic Media Stand, which holds about 3k of this stand. Tickets will be available on the day in the top tier of the Fantastic Media Stand.

Official site reports that we have "less than 300" tickets left from our initial allocation...but doesn't say what that allocation was, as far as I can see...

My dad got the last 5 for behind the posts this morning according to the girl in the ticket office.

Still think when times are hard they should look to the double headers, two for one in a 30k stadium, could have put it in Birmingham area or South Yorkshire. Allocate 6.5k per team leave some for the neutrals, expansion, cost saving, value for money and competitive games all rolled in to one.

The game shouldn't need double headers but i think a bit of realism needs injecting, it would be great if we could fill two decent sized stadiums with two games we can sell off to the media for a profit, but it isn't happening, so help the fans out and plan accordingly.

You shouldnt need to Market it a semi final. I wonder how many extra bums on seats those Wigan tv ad added?

How about getting rid of the neutral venue and tossing a coin for home advantage? YOu'd think the fans of whoever lost would get ther in force to shout their team on. Or maybe allocate tickets slightly differently? Just a crazy thought.

From that article I'd say Wigan fans are going to be put in our upper tier for pay on day sales?

Does anyone know which stand the pay on the day tickets will be in? I'm not 100% sure with work yet so have had to leave it until last minute!

ATM there's only our stand (Fantastic Media - Upper) which is POTD.

I don't for one minute believe that you'll outnumber us 5-1, but I do think you'll have more fans there. Leeds fans have been spoiled by success in recent years, and at the merest hint that we might not be successful in a big game, many don't show. There's no appeal anymore, they've been there done that, many times in the last few years. What's new this time? For that reason it's no big deal for them to enjoy/endure it on TV this time. If we win they can turn up to another final if they please, If we lose they can turn the channel over and forget about it for another year. If we get through to the final I expect it to be a struggle to sell our tickets again.

I'll be there though, sadly in a half full stadium.

It's a fair point, in a way, though; look at the way our attendances started dropping mid-90's, when we were still winning everything in sight. Admittedly, there were other factors, not least the switch to summer, but I think it's still the case that a lot our fans were getting, if not bored, at least a bit complacent, and picking and choosing the games more carefully.

The odd league match when you're expected to pile 70 points on someone yes, but not the semi final of the cup FFS!

We're in a digital tv age chaps. sky plus, beer available from Tescos, drink driving issues, busy lives, traffic, downturn. Lots of non traditional fans will watch it on telly. Big live crowds have gone for good, but interest in th game is very much alive.

Dropped a rather large bollok this week, in that I have been working away and not had chance to order a ticket.

I take it the Wigan stand behind the sticks is now sold out?

Have we been allocated another stand? I'm looking to drive up but don't fancy being sat with the Yaarkshire lot.

I believe there's still a few hundred tickets left at the ticket office in Huddersfield for our stand, I'll be heading straight there once I'm off the train.

People who's lives don't revolve around sport perhaps. People that have plenty of other things they can do with their lives. As Leeds fans we've been spoilt over the last few years and to be quite honest the novelty has worn off to an extent. It happened at Wigan and it happened at Bradford.

I can't fully explain it because I'm desperate for us to win the Challenge Cup and like I say, I'll be there, I always am. I'm disappointed that more people don't turn out. But to be fair only now have I started to get excited about the game. A few years ago I'd have been looking forward to it in midweek.

Go back in history. The semi finals have never attracted big crowds. I thought the "away" crowds from both sets today were very impressive. At Wakefield last week, the Wigan away support was the best away support I've seen for a long time.

Good luck for the Grand Final. I wanted Wire-v-Wigan for the Wembley final, for the spectacle and the support. I hope I get it at Old Trafford.
