| Iam driving up from Birmingham on Sunday to watch the WCC and was thinking of making a day of it by watching the under 20s game. How much is entry to the game and where is best to park near to the stadium. Iam bringing up to mates who I have converted into Wigan fans from Brum and Cov so hoping for two good results. Also any idea how many people usually attend a home u2o game?

if it's at Edge Hall Road in orrell, usually gets a good little crowd on, and tickets teh last time i watched them were free for season ticket holders (but i think that applies for Wigan ST Holders?!) or about £3 otherwise.
there is parking available at the ground but limited so you may want to get there early, especially as a few others may have the same idea and make a full day of it
good luck to both the u20's and the big guys at night. i will be an armchair fan (and proud by the way for anyone who wants to mock)
not my fault i can't afford to attend

| The parking in the stadium is sometimes reserved for players and staff only.
If the parking on the stadium car-park fails there are many streets around

| Entry to the under 20s games is free to Wigan season ticket holders and for others last season it was £4 for adults and £2 for kids. I imagine it will be the same cost this year as the pre-season game against Skolars was £4 to get in. I think there is a charge (£2-£3 not sure exactly what the cost is) for parking within the stadium (if that option is still available) but there are nearby streets where you can park for free anyway.

Orrell water park is a three minutes walk from the ground and has a good sized car park. The Robin Hood pub is also close by and does very good food.

| What's the best way to get to the ground via public transport from Wigan town centre? Only been a couple of times and always got a lift.

Never done it on the bus as mentioned above so not sure what the difference in time/cost would be, but I did Wigan Wallgate to Orrell on the train for a couple of games last year - takes less than ten minutes, two quid return. I'm not sure it runs on a Sunday though, which is obviously no help to you this weekend.

They don't run at all on Sunday's. As previous poster stated Bus 352 to St Helens is the option. Leaves Wigan Bus Station at 12:20pm you'll be there about 20 mins later. Ask the driver for Orrell Train Station.

| 34 - 10 to Wigan. Try to Acton, our new recruit from down south. Interested to hear from those who attended what they thought of him.

A good game, closer than the score suggests.

I was impressed. Tackles hard, runs it in strongly, good appetite for work. Reminds me a bit of a young Keith Senior.

Thnx Geoff.
He's a big guy for centre. Hopefully he can hold his own with the rest of young threequarters we have coming through, and help replace are ageing backline.

Reads as though Powell and Logan Tomkins were very influential in the win.

| I thought that this was an excellent win. Cas include Snitch and Owen, and are a really big team. King was fantastic as was Russell, but great performances across the park. Not sure about Acton, he is a big unit but very upright in collision, got smashed a few times gave away a few clumsy penalties. Jayden Sanford looks like a fast lad, but didnt get chance to show his pace much really, wouldnt see him as getting a regular spot in that team. Cannot agree with Bilkos assesment, Tomkins was oustanding at hooker, great distribution, fast crisp passes both ways , kicked well too and seemed to be in every tackle, best game i have seen him play. To say they looked better with Carberry at 9 is not correct in my view. Carberry is a big strong lad, who loves to run from dummy half, he made a couple of good breaks. His passing is not great though. Not convinced that he will ulimatly end up a hooker.

Each to their own. I thought it was pretty slow stuff still till Carberry came on into dummy half. I felt they upped a gear. For me Logan was far better in the last 20 mins or so when stood off from dummy half.

Both good hookers, IMO, though as you say, very different in style. Logan is a good distributor and kicker (it was him got that 40-20 wasn't it?), Liam is more of a scooter, but his distribution will improve as he matures - just as Logan's and McIlorum's has.
