Better crowd then I expected.

I looked through our remaining home fixtures a few days back and had a conservative guess at what we'd get for each game. Even being conservative( i had last night down as 16k, Saints as 21k and a couple of 11k crowds) I had us finishing the season with an average of around 15,000 which would be a great effort.

It could actually be a few more then that if we keep winning.

if we keep performing like this there's no reason saints wont be a sell out,also, are they making the wire home game the big one 2? could be another full house

Theres every chance the Saints game will be a full house and if the Big one 2 is against Wire thats a nailed on 25,000 full house so theres 2 huge crowds to bump the average up.

Add in the St Georges day game and things look very healthy.

Only one problem with the big crowds no programes left

I like the ideas that the club are coming up with to get people in through the turnstiles.

People are finding it that little bit more difficult to afford leisure activities than they used to and ideas like the Scrum ticket deal will go a long way in the club's aspiration of getting new fans through the gates.

Well done to the marketing bods.

Well if thats the only problem, Im sure they could resolve that pretty easily.

simples just me being picky

This has happened a few times this year, but last night they where late arriving. When my brother in law tried to exchange his voucher (part of the family ticket) they told him there wasn't many and where unsure if they where actually doing this as part of the deal. After is was pointed out that he had paid for it as part of the deal they asked for advise and finally swapped the voucher for a programme.

i wasnt in my uusual spot, but tucked away in the east, up near the north, and there were many round me whos kids had brought them

after last nights performance, hopefully they will be back .

We need to beat Wakefield, Harlequins and Huddersfield to go a whole year undefeated at the DW.

The official DW Stadium website says the capacity for the North Stand is 5,400. The stadium seating capacity is down as 24,800. Therefore there is only 19,400 seats for the home fans of which 16,700 were took.

So we need less than 3,000 extra fans to turn up for the derby and i'm sure Saints will sell out 5,400. We should get a sell out.

Only problem is that the past few years we have had to leave 500 seats free in the South Stand meaning we can only get 24,300.

The north stand has the same restrictions as the south stand so the actual capacity for a rugby game is 24,028 which we achieved in 2007.

Why do 500 seats need to be left empty? In the early years, this never happened????

Something to do with laws about unreserved seating IIRC.

For games like the Saints one cant they scrap the unreserved seating and assign seats to everyone so we can sell out the stand???

They could for the away end. But they sell South Stand season tickets unreserved so they can't do it.

For future seasons then wouldnt it make sense to assign a seat to every season ticket holder in the south, that they must stick to in designated games???

It would be more hassle that its worth in my view but I don't sit in there so I don't really have an opinion on that idea.

Me niether, just seems a bit daft that we can technically sell out yet have 500 empty seats in that stand. Not that its going to be such an issue apart from the Saints game and possibly the Wire game.

It would also be easier to identify and ban the scrotes in the South Stand that cause all the bother.

I have a friend who sits in the south, and they said after the Leeds game, that the chav element @ the back is getting worse.

I heard the same at the reserves game yesterday.
