A lot will depend on when the game is as a Sunday game will mean a Thursday-Tuesday stayover, whereas a Saturday night game can be done Thursday-Sunday if flying from Liverpool.

It's freezing at Bradford at the best of times - once did a double header at Keighley-Leigh then Bradford-Warrington; was literally 31 degrees at Cougar Park, whereas Odsal was an 80 minute rainstorm an hour later!

sheffield could be saturday looking at rotherham gates of 3000. would not caused a problem plus don valley is almost half way from sheffield to rotherham but i doubt the centre of sheffield sees rotherham fans on their match days hoping for saturday assuming it will be at bramhall lane

I'd love to go as I can see Bramall Lane from work, but I'll be in the US for a conference. Sheffield has changed quite a bit since Wigan were last here, it's a great day out for everyone, big wheel like Manchester, loads of bars / pubs, train station is only 5 minutes from Bramall Lane as well.

Gutted I can't be there, a long weekend in San Diego at a conference instead, I hope I can find the game on the net!

Thanks MattyB, not as muddy as a thought it was, you are right about the commentator, who was he, sounded like a bit of a Saints accent to me.
23yrs time flys, vaguely remember going into the club house on the car park after the game and the Wigan players didn't come in as they normally did, well gutted, weren't we all.
No repeat at Sheffield.

IIRC There was snow on the roads / pavements and the pitch had to be cleared prior to the game. With 10 minutes to go and Wigan 8-4 up Edwards made a break and the line was begging, had he dove he probably would have made the line but he chose to take the tackle, it ultimately cost us the game.
