| Quote ="Deano G"What a pathetic attempt to belittle Wigan's achievement in beating a very strong Warrinton team.'"
Seeing as we've been beating Warrington repeatedly now for 13 years at KR and about 8 years elsewhere, I think any Saints fan is pretty much an expert on 'doing a Warrington'. They usually have the same kind of lead against us ... and then give it away.
Get over yourself. It wasn't a dig at Wigan - though God knows it's hard to resist - but a dig at Warrington.
Wigan have definitely improved on last year.
Quote Here's a reality check for you - Stains will struggle this season against Wire and Wigan. '"
I couldn't agree more. Saints will struggle against everyone - unless the opposition can't defend for chips (Bradford a week ago) or play with 12 men for most of the game. You won't find me arguing with the prediction that Saints will struggle this season. I'm yet to be convinced they can actually win a game without some kind of assistance.

| Morley's shot was just solid, not worthy of further review. Just as Gleeson didn't obstruct King.
Wire kicking out in the tackle however...

| Morley's hit ?
Interesting technique. In real time it looked like a high shot/swinging arm.On the replays it showed the arm wasn't lifted, yet he still managed a full contact with the player's head via a 'swinging shoulder'.
conclusion ? NOT a penalty, though a very good bit of legal thuggery
An intense game played by two totally committed teams

No, nothing wrong with it unfortunately.

| Morley's hit on Hansen was fair, not foul play.
Credit too to Hansen for getting up and PTB. He looked out for the count after that hit.
That was one tough game!
Some great tries and what a finish.
All down to the final seconds of the 80 mins!

What a great of rugby that was, played between to fantastic teams, who have clearly come on a whole lot this year. Well done on a excellent come back in the 2nd half, i can't see there being a better game all year.

First viewing, I thought it was pure filth, on replay I thought "Ouch Firkin BIG hit!!!". Fantastic game, still waiting for my pulse to return to normal. I thought the loss of Briers was key for Wire as was the loss of Riddell and Phelps for us. If every game of rugby league was like that we'd have three games a week televised and full stadiums every week. Brilliant !!

| Tonights game was a superb advert for rugby league by two fantastic teams. From a wigan fan i have to give Warrington a really big round of applause for a superb effort and Tony Smith as certainly got your club going in the write direction and you will definatley be one the top three teams this year im my opinion. may i just say that Morley`s hit on Harrison was superb and is what rugby league is all about, rough, tough and played by men!!!!!! As for Wigan what a perfomance to come back like they did in the second half just goes to show what belief they now have in themselves, and that is surely all down to a Mr Maguire and Mr Wane, long may this last!!!!! With Sam now at six we have a player that can produce a match breaking play at any time, but the whole team looks to be up for it this season and i cant wait for our next match.

| Great game, and the kind of match Sky should have had on to open the season. I thought Wigan showed a lot of character in the second half. I thought Wigan would be the team to beat in 2011 once Maguire had more of his own players in the squad but you guys look the part already. Best team on the night won. Roberts looks a totally diferent player.

Or Hansens face after that hit
" yes mate this is earth and that's a rugby ball in your hand"
fair do's though he got up if that had been earlier in the game that would have been him finished
this is why League will always be the best game for me. Wendyball just gets on my ti-s now.

| Well what can i say so proud of our guys tonight . Never gave in and the fitness was superb. Warrington really impressed me aswell tonight, and i can see both being really strong and up there this year. After watching Morleys hit again closer to the action, for me fantastic and fair!
Fielden starting to offload and enjoying his rugby again is good to see he was ecstatic and the end to the fans. Amos is like a totally different player and his confidence now should be through the roof.
Keep it up lads!!! Well done Wire for their part in a superb game too. Just hope that someone has a word with Myler and Mathers over their V signs in front of kids not needed.

| For me, what made the biggest difference in the last 25 was not the fact that Briers went off but the fact that Tommy went to 7 and deacon to 9. Up to that point we had been poor around the ruck.
Are strong defense kept us in the game particularly in the first 40, had this been last year we'd have been behind by at least 20 at the break. It's pretty obvious to anyone who watched that game that are mistakes and poor discipline killed us in the first 40, we addressed it a little in the second and that coupled with the points from above won us the game.
Sam Tomkins is that X-Factor player that all good sides need, and we've got him.
Congrats to all 34 player tonight.

Actually the funniest thing was the thousands of Wire fans still dancing thinking they had won it, despite it clearly showing the knock on 2-3 times on the screen! Realisation setting in was absolutely hilarious from where we were stood!

| A couple of things swung it in our favour for me.
- Briers going off helped as they looked disorganised after that. Myler is a great support player, always sniffing around for an offload but he is no organiser.
- Warrington seemed to tire in the last quarter. We have really majored in getting our fitness levels up over the off season and it is paying dividends. We have looked really strong in the last 20 in all of our games so far.
Having said this warrington struggled to break our defensive line all night and it was penalties and dropped ball that got them in the position to go in as half time leaders.
Was a great game to watch and credit to both teams for that. A great advert for rugby league.

| Well done wigan. Please let us keep ainscough and farrell, as i think your team is doing well without them. At least you not got uncle albert on here moaning. He thinks his team was robbed. Both teams did well tonight, and you and wire will be in the top 6 for sure. I prefer wigan than warrington so i am happy.

| Great game, found myself cheering when Tomkins went over and when solomona dropped it. Probably because I felt you were pretty hard done too by the ref for most of the game which is funny cause I had a quick look on the wire page with the top thread named ROBBED. Funny how you see things different when its your team.

| Funnily enough as made up as I am about the win tonight I think the real test of how far we have come with Maguire in such a short space of time will be this week and the Catalans game.
For so long now we have been able to dig deep and pull a performance when we need to but then have failed to back up the week after against poorer opposition/teams in poorer form and have lost the game ad blow the hard work.
If we turn up next week and do the job I for one will be quite content that attitudes have changed and things are on the up.
