There placed all along the Front of the East stand, I think we put 19/20 up as we couldn't get them all on there! (There's about 4/5 we couldn't make room for!)
As for putting them up at the back then in theory yes we could but practically it ws never going to happen as Man Utd Maintenance staff have to drill fixings to the back of the stand for the flags to be tied to.
Man Utd fans don't put flags up at that end so they would have had to put about around 120+ fixings for the 20+ flags and they didn't have time to do it!
I will repeat however, they were magnificent in how they organised this and how they treated the Wigan fans today and they are supporting "Our Manchester club!" Tomorrow!

Brilliant, and I reckon our seats are at the bottom of that picture on the Nike tick - so can't wait to see it tomorrow. And I have to say, I've spent my whole life detesting United, but they've played a blinder here. Good to see that even at a plastic corporate Premiership ground someone still appreciates what it means to be a fan & love your team. Cannot bloody wait now.

It represents passion for a club, and is 100 times better than anything your cr@ppy little club has managed in any final appearances.

The top & bottom of it is that we'll turn up with the whole lower part of the stand covered in flags & a 46ft flag covering the back - and you couldn't even sell your tickets. Win or lose, we've made & won the case as to who's the biggest RL club in the land. You'll always be losers next to us, might as well get used to it.

It would have been nice if you'd moaned about the flag, and then, just to balance things up, added: "By the way, I was wrong about Maguire, Lenagan and Riddell."

But I suppose that admitting you're wrong about anything would be a leap too far even for an intellectual like you.

I'll happily wait another six months for an answer, which is your usual form, though, if we lose tomorrow, I'm sure you'll be on here a lot sooner than that.

I'm quite happy to admit that Riddell's form lately has been far better than the shocking performances he came up with in his first season.

However, I've no idea what you are talking about with regards to Maguire and Leneghan. If you would kindly point me to even one instance of me slagging either of those two off, then I would be glad to apologise for that as well. However, you won't be able to find any.

Don't let that worry you though. I mean, why let the truth get in the way of your normal angst?

Anyhow, let's get back to orgasming over this flag business. I mean, it's the key to our chances of victory tonight, isn't it.

When did they lower the age limit for posters on here? Average age must now be about 12.

I actually feel sorry for you Jack, it must be a sad world in which you live that means you have to try get your kicks on the Internet trying to focus the attention of a goodwill thread on yourself. You must be a very sad individual.

Just as a matter of point not one person has stated this is the key to our success. What people are doing is sharing their opinion and gratitude towards a small group of individuals who have gone over and above to show support for the team and add to the atmosphere of the occasion.

I would like to add my congratulations to those people for their efforts. Where you neglected as a child?

I bet you're one of those typical fickle fans who (at the first sign of mediocrity) abandon the club to either watch on TV or all together and then moan to colleagues on a Monday morning about how 'shat' they are.
