At home we need people who sing all sat together, but that won't happen.

Leeds, Hull KR, Castleford... teams with the loudest home support, they all have an area for singing.

When you come to Knowsley Road without the drum, it certainly doesn't hamper the atmosphere. I'm so glad we don't allow them, if someone was stood next to me with one of those for a full season I'd probably lose the will to live (and my hearing)

I chose no. We shouldn't have multiple drums like we do, as the majority are carried by spotty kids who treat it like they do their special place, and just bang away at it, rather than beat with any sense of rhythm.

We should have one drum, carried by someone who can actually bang it in time, and leave it at that.

I also said no, some of the best games we've had away from home have been without the drum. Places like KC etc.. We don't need a drum to create an atmosphere!

While we've had some cracking atmospheres away from home, even with 17000 at our place, there's still a quarter of the ground full so it hampers the atmosphere. With the West Stand being quieter than the others it really means only half the fans in there are creating any noise.

Too many drums is like "too many cooks, spoiling the broth" but one for the South Stand one for the East is necessary as far as I'm concerned.

If a drum isn't in the East stand this season then I hope we can get some songs going because the perception that the South stand is the stand were ALL the singing gets going is false and very often fans in the East stand begin and fans in the South follow.

Drums should be banged from the car park when matches are played !

All words are "made up" it is called a coinage. If you want to look that up you may but you will not find it to be wrong as I have written a first class English Language degree paper on it.

And as for the drum: I think it is brilliant so I say; keep it. To be fair to you if you don't like it then move to further away in the east stand. I would never say the west stand as it is more money (i think) and you shouldn't have to pay more to avoid a drum but as far as I am concerned drums are all over sport and help to rally the fans which in turn helps the team along.

If you are so bothered contact the club I am sure that they would be more than happy to conduct a poll to see if people like/dislike the club. They may of course simply say "we don't need to as it is quite obvious that the majority of fans like the rhythm of the drum.

Why is it "Obvious" that most people like the rhythm of a drum? Where I sit there are about 20 people who seem to like it, and hundreds that don't.

You mean it's obvious to you, but that doesn't make it obvious to everyone.
