According to Wigan Today, the Webb move has been held up by the driving ban issue. Sounds like a Visa may not be forthcoming for next year, despite Wigan getting in touch with the High Commission, etc.

IFL needs to deliver a top prop for 2010, even if we do miss out on Webb because of his failure to get the visa, he has had the time and opportunity and must have been aware that this was on the cards should it so prove to be correct.

It's not looking good on the whole recruitment front, perhaps at the fans forum Lenegan might give us some updates on whether we'll be signing anyone or no one, after all he can say whether were chasing a prop and a halfback or both with out naming names.

In normal circumstances no, but given it was always a long shot to bring Webb over, i would not be happy if we had invested all our hopes in an outside bet, we must have other options available to explore and not be straight back to the drawing board if it is confirmed he cannot get a visa.
