I'll be making contact with all those who have expressed an interest shortly (Or you can ring/pm me if you want) to arrange delivery/collection of tickets.

1st major announcement (with more to follow)

Simon Collinson - Marketting manager & acting Chief Exec - Has kindly agreed to attend the event and will be taking the Mic to say a few words (He also loves questions about Weetabix, Low % Body Fat and =#FF0000[size=200New Kit Designs[/size!).
For all those who aren't aware Simon was, along with 21-12 & Jimmy Birts, one of the Biggest reasons that the flag idea got off the ground so quickly.
Simon helped us in so many ways and it would be impossible to say how much more difficult this would have been without his support!
He, IMO, even before the flag stuff got under way, was also instrumental in the imporved marketting and promotion of Wigan RLFC (I can't use Warriors!

) from 2005 onwards and despite our sticky on field problems around that time the Off field stuff was improving Year on Year.
I'm sure he'll also be available to answer a few questions on the night.

He did also mention that he gets married a few weeks after this event so he's using it as his Stag do!

########### Final Arrangements for the Event ###############

The Club has been sorted and IMO looks Great for the Event, Many Thanks to Conroy & Twosevenzero for their Help in Setting up!



The Food for the evening has been sorted and as mentioned we have Chicken Curry/Lasagne (Meat/Vegi) and Hot pot available with Hot Dogs for the Younger ones. (Thanks to Mrs Rogues, Jane, and My Father in Law for all their Help in arranging this).


Pictures with the SL trophy will be available on the Night at a Price of £3 and will be printed for you to take away on the evening. (Their will be different versions i.e With or Without the Warriors/Ultras Badges if required).

The New Ultras Ltd Edition Pin Badges will also be available at a Price of just £3!

We have had some fantastic Donations from many Sources and I Would like to pass on our Thanks to all those who helped by giving these fantastic prizes.

Plus Other Prizes to be announced on the Night!

We debated long and hard about how we were going to make these prizes available and I hope our solution is agreeable to all.
We were concious that holding an Auction for these prizes may stop certain people from joining in, kids etc and could/would lead to only a few being able to Bid for these Great prizes.

After many hours of discussion we have decided that instead of doing the usual Auction style event we will be asking anyone interested in winning any of these great to make a £5 donation in the envelopes that will be on the Tables and in return you will receive 5 x tickets - 1 for each of the draws we will make on the Night (This obviously means you get a chance to win any 1 of these prizes for just £1 a Ticket).
We think this is the fairest chance for all attendees and Hopefully More people will be able to join in.

We have had an offer already for the Parramatta Shirt of £60 and I am sure if we went to an auction we could get far more!
However to give everyone on the evening a chance to win this particular Great Prize we have decided that if we receive a minimum of 70 x £5 donations on the evening we will put every ticket back in the Hat and inc this prize within the £5 draw!

As I said earlier we hope that this way of doing things is agreeable to all.

Looking forward to hopefully the 1st of many Anniversary Ultra's Flag Do's and a quick reminder that Doors open approx 7.30pm.
And a quick reminder that although a Fund raising event, our aim primarily is to raise awareness of what we are trying to do and get more people involved!

As mentioned the Super League trophy will be there to have your pic with but, after a lot of work on my part, so will the Auto Windscreen Shield (which I'm sure you're all aware was the biggest trophy in football at the time............ok heaviest) so don't miss out :whistle:

Great night, and i suspect we raised enough cash between everyone there for a few new flags etc.

Hope to get down to the next meeting, ive said this a few times but working in retail means sh*te shifts at short notice alot.

Great effort to the lads/lasses who organised last night - and that hot pot was belting.

A big thanks to everyone who attended, hope you all enjoyed yourselves, me and Andy are heading up to the club now to collect the flags, posters etc and tidy up, we will update with the amount raised as soon as possible. I spent most of the night in the area with the trophy and missed some of the fun in the 'big' room, but it was a pleasure to see how much happiness and pride people got from having photos taken and handling (and of course the kissing !!) the SL trophy. A lot of work went into putting the 'do' on, many thanks to all who donated prizes, made food and gave up time and energy to make it a success, especially Jukesays, without his efforts it would'nt have happened

We seem to have a habit of losing flags, first one which thankfully hunted down and re gathered was the long one from the castle in Perpignan. But now we're gonna try and locate(which will be difficult), the St. George's cross one with 'Wigan RLFC, Pride of Lancashire' written on it.

It went over to Australia, may have been spotted on tv, and after the Papa New Guinea game somebody else took it. Not really got much of an idea where it is at minute but we think it's been taken by mistaken identity(please don't ask how because i don't know), by a bunch of Bradford fans. So i'm gonna stick something up on there site with the off chance somebody might know something.

The one from the castle at Perpignan is a blinder (far left of the picture) and I wish it would turn up more at away games. It would be ideal at places like Hull & Huddersfield. If you can't get to a game mate give me a PM and one of us will take it with the rest. There's always at least 2 or 3 people who take responsibility for them so no danger it will go missing and we can return it after the game.





I saw your flag in Oz (who didn't?!).

Ha, the long one as well is technically one that went wrong, Decided to buy one in Benidorm, told them how we'd like it, but because of the language barrier when we came back it was like that, except with an extra 2 red parts at either end, it was way too long so we just sewed them round the back, hence the tint of pink in the white.

But we'll bring it to more away games next year now to return out of retirement. It can't go on the castle again though, the Mayor of Perpignan won't let me.

Fantastic night, thank you everyone that attended and to Andy for his superb organisation. Was saying to Chris last night and Simon about how when me and Chris got the first 2 flags we never imagined it would take off and turn into this, its unbelievable what has been achieved in such a short amount of time, a MASSIVE thank you to every single person that has got themselves involved. Had a chat with people from the club last night and believe me the WCC is going to be a truly spectacular sight, also thank you to everyone that volunteered to help us out with the big flags. The pin badges sold really well and also seemed to be a big hit.
