This is the same George Carmont that last year had talks with Saints when Wigan initially only offered him a one year deal.

In terms of value, Carmont has been IL's best signing by a long way in my view.

In a way. He got a one year deal with an option of another should he play enough games and prove his fitness, an option which has been taken up for 2011

Mate, it doesn't matter whether your club talked to Carmont or not. St Helens have a long history of sniffing around other players - UK or foreign based, just as Wigan do. Your current side is chock full of players you didn't develop through your junior ranks, just as ours is.

OK OK I back down. 8 overseas players in the starting 17 in 2011 is great news for Wigan. Hope you all enjoy watching them.

We'll enjoy watching them no more and no less than you enjoy watching yours.

If they are good enough we will. Under the present regime, if they are not they won't play. I suggest we all wait until next season to see the squad personnel.

How does the signing of Shenton and LMS
(a) spread the talent around. Wasn't the salary cap supposed to make teams more competitive?
(b) affect the development of the likes of Wheeler, Foster, Lomax, Frodsham, Magennis etc?

id say he is better than fielden has much better games and is a hell of lot cheaper but also getting on abit maybe a one year deal.

Get rid of either fielden or coley keep one for experience and bring in either Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook or Luke Burgess both young and we have jeff lima coming that would be nice

Except that LMS isn't anywhere near as good as Coley or Fielden, and Luke Burgess is pants.

Keep both Fielden and Coley, at the right price.

LMS has signed for Saints, Burgess is average at best. Lima is only one year younger than Fielden.

LMS isnt as good true but at some point we need a long term replacement for coley and fielden id love them both to stay CHEAP but fielden might get better offers from clubs like hull fc but i think coley will stay.

They are called Lee Mossop and Ben Davies, so would you like them to be 2 of our front line props next season?

I hope Stuart takes Wigans offer would be a shame to loose him he has a great attitude to his work and is a good roll model for the younger players
