Getting relegated was a shock to the system, but it was deserved, its a big part of our history,visiting Batley,Doncaster,Dewsbury,Keighley etc was an eye opener, but you met some of the most passionate and knowledgable rugby fans anywhere, dont forget we got to the Lancashire Cup final that year (although we lost !), so it wasn't all misery, and trips to Blackpool and York made for some good outings !. In sport you must learn to take the good with the bad, and we have had plenty of good since !

Roy, you and I have had this discussion many times. I know it's difficult for some of the "younger" supporters to appreciate, but what you posted is spot on. That season was one of the most enjoyable I have had a rugby supporter, great fun and met some real characters.

I'll tell you the tale about the Alsatian in the pub when we were on our way back from Keighley next time we meet up.

I just cant be d with blatent trolls. Talking about the game and all the banter is one thing, but to drag up poop like that about fans scrapping and finger pointing does no-one any favours.

Edit - i have just seen the highlighted text (its hard to see since to forum changed) and i have never been in a scrap at the rugby, but i have seen a few.

How the chuff did Wire struggle to beat Cas last week? They're gash.

I take little out of how poor Cas were tonight tbh(and they were terrible). They've had a couple of huge games in the first 2 weeks of the season and came up against a desperate Bradford side tonight. It started poor for them and they never recovered.

Wire will be better then last week without question tomorrow and to win we'll have to play very well. Our line speed and scramble defence will have to be top notch but i'm confident it will be. Our defence has been the most impressive aspect of our play so far and I see no reason why that can't continue.

Looking forward to it.
