Why not try to get someone like Justin Hodges, probably at the age in which he is still considered young enough for domestic rugby and slightly too old for rep rugby, a quality player who would do a good job and again going back to age, at a point at which he might fancy a go in SL?

Just a passing thought. Seeing as Hoffman is now officially going back to Oz, would Louis Anderson be a worthy target for us now that Wire won't be retaining him? That's assuming that we keep Joel at centre.

Personally I'd rather get a good centre in and move Joel back into the pack but if we can't do that I wouldn't mind seeing us pick Anderson up. He's big and aggressive and he's only 26. To be honest I'm baffled as to why Wire are letting him go to replace him with the 31-year old Trent Waterhouse. Is Maurice Lindsay making the calls over there now?

If we sign a player he must be better than we have in that position.
We have far better than Anderson in the back row.

Centre has to be the first position to look at. We surely should give chances to Goulding, Marsh, Charnley or Acton to see what they can do and if it is felt they won't make it then bring someone in.
Personally I thought Marsh had a good game v Wakey, his defence was very good. He's only young and I think we should give those lads a chance before we buy an off the shelf International from overseas.

We now have a very strong squad and we can take our time with this one.
