I seem to remember similar outrage on here when some Leeds fans suggested a boycott of England games if Sam was playing. True Wigan fans won't boycott the game, they won't be very happy, but they won't boycott it.

What I do not understand is what difference does it make whether the football club are safe or in danger of getting relegated ?
This whole sorry saga has made us a laughing stock, I was at Featherstone if we are moved to another ground I will seriously consider keeping my cash in my pocket.

They are worried that if they lose on Monday, and therefore run the risk of being relegated, that the rugby on Saturday might make a dodgy bump somewhere on the pitch, that a football may hit on Sunday, and end up either missing the right goal, or ending up in the wrong one, and therefore make them lose the last game and be relegated. Given the size of a pitch, and the chances of a dodgy bump appearing in exactly the spot the football may bounce on, I should imagine we're looking at Euromillion type odds, but there you go, better safe than sorry

We (latics fan mode) could lose our last two games and STILL not go down. Whilst all this is a farce and makes Wigan RL look stupid, in the long run it benefits them slightly when the media come along stating we (now in rugby fan mode) ruin the pitch. ATEOTD - I'll be at the game even if it's held on the moon.

Surely a boycott will only hurt Wigan in the pocket. Why not go with something that will have more impact. If people see empty seats on TV then it's just another CC match under supported.

However if those TV cameras see bank upon bank of Wiganers wearing their shirts inside out, or sponsor ship covered in black tape.
Now that will be a talking point on national TV.

Although I would go shirt inside out, it's easy to do and everyone can do it no matter the shirt. You are still showing support and showing displeasure. Absense is ignored, protest sends a message.

The truth, they are still negotiating to use the stadium, or are attempting to find another venue. Its not impatience for an announcement, its simply the fact, the longer this goes on, the more the whole situation begins to leave a bigger stain on RL, Wigan relations and the acceptance of the DW as our home ground.

But why do they need to tell us that? It's obvious that is what they are doing. They will be fighting tooth and nail to A- play it at Wigan and B - not to play it at Saints.

Because we fund the clubs very existence? Because Im not asking for IL to come out and call Whelan a c*nt, simply to inform the fans what is going on.

We know what is going on. We are playing on Saturday at 2.30 pm but as of yet we don't know where but you can guarantee that it won't be any further away than Leigh, St Helens, Warrington or Widnes.

I presume that IFL will be fighting as hard as he can for it to be at Wigan but if DW won't budge just as the beeb wouldn't then he'll be working to get the best deal for Wigan RLFC at another stadium both financially, from a fans POV and for the team.

When he knows every little bit of detail I'm 100% sure he will tell everyone, but he isn't the type of guy that constantly talks to the media and bulls*its just to keep fans happy and I for one am glad about that. I wish DW was the same at Latics.

You could always just book a train ticket anyway, return to Wigan. If it's at Wigan, no problems. Warrington, get off in Warrington. Leigh, get of in Warrington and get a bus to Leigh. Saint's get off in Warrington and local train to Saints. Widnes, change at Crewe and make a diversion or get a bus from Warrington.

It's hardly insurmountable and may add £5-10 to your plans, but if it's at Wigan you get some spare time to enjoy a pint of two before the game. I

If you are planning a boycott that doesnt hurt the club, then dont buy anything tonight from the DW-owned kiosks.

Sadly, I expect to see thousands of cherry & white tops continue to stuff their faces with Dave's food and drinking Dave's ale whilst muttering what a he is.

And they'd be well within their rights to do so

tickets is my only worry . If the game is not at Wigan i wont be in Wigan to pick them up . Leaves a lot to chance posting them after Tuesday .
