I am all for giving people a chance Mr Rogues when they put as much effort in as possible but when i see him play he looks like he is along for the ride.

It's not a case of that at all.

We bought Pryce knowing he was injured as we could see the potential in the guy.

Four first team games isn’t a good enough test of if he’s going to make it or not imo.

Some times there is nothing wrong with looking at long term prospects.

As I’ve said I think he’ll turn into a very good SL player and we shouldn’t get rid of him straight away.

What’s the point of signing him when injured then getting rid of him when he gets fit?

He was lazy at Bratfot, but at least he was match fit and a threat. I don't think he'll ever be a blood and thunder type of player, not in his nature.

Having been out so long his body is still getting used to playing again. I'd agree with those who say he still needs time.

Like what I said with Mathers last year you have to give him a chance to recover or it could be to another clubs benefit.
Mather's unfortunatly for all his effort did not work out it may not work out for Pryce but we would be foolish to let him go at this early stage.

but hes not playin for bradford anymore, hes terrified and doesnt wanna play super laegue, when you watch him in the reserves he cant get the ball enough he actually goes out looking for it, when he plays first team he just stands there and doesnt want it at all

the fact that you can sum all this up after only 3 first team games tells me that you should be our new head scout!!!!.

In fairness though Pryce has had a lot of chances.

To my mind he simply does not apply himself.

Whether that is laziness or lack of ability to concentrate, I am unable to ascertain.

I have no doubt that if we continue to slowly let him develop and build up his fitness and confidence he will be a much better player than goulding could be.

Lets give him until the end of 2010 until we judge him.

I think we should loan him out to a NL 1 side asap until the end of the season so he can get up to speed and grow in confidence and then a good off season he will be great come next season.

We'd have to re-sign him om a new contract to give us all that chance.

i was the one who said stick by phelps and smith, and i know a few people on this site are starting to notice what smith has in attack,

Phelps is a squad player a good one, reason being you can put him anywhere, hel get stuck in and do his job, chase downt the ball and take the ball in, something i think you will find pryce cant and wont do any of them, but thanx for the advice on the job search

Quota players should not be squad players

so youd rather use pryce whos not gonne bother for this club, or someone who takes his chances to win for his club

Quota players need to be first team players end of.

Agree tbh but i can see Phelps cracking a first team spot if he keeps on playing to his current form.

I wouldn't actually be suprised if they took a punt on keeping him ahead of Carmont due to their ages although that would be a risky move.

Pryce isn't doing it at the minute, but the point is that he's a long term project. Having this discussion at the end of the season would be a different matter, if pryce comes off then he will be a fantastic strike player who would be quite likely to be england centre.



Phelps is what he is, he's a reasonably solid player, but as someone said the quota spots should be used for top quality players. This is why Bailey comes in for so much stick, he does nothing wrong, but yet also he doesnt stand out.

Look at saints or leeds quota players, buderus, webb, peletua, donald, Quality players! You wouldnt get either of them wasting a quota space on a utility back.
