and? if covid killed you because of the pre existing condition would it not be covid that killed you? fore example, freddie mercury dies from pneumonia as a result of aids, what killed him? aids or pneumonia? Both would probably end of on the certificate like covid

There were more than 9400 and that is actually scary. That tens of thousands of people who were healthy could die from it. If only we had some defense against it?

First and foremost, I am not using the attached to create an argument. I just think that it is interesting and worth debating. We all know that the figures being banded about regarding Covid deaths are not accurate and they have been used as part of the government's narrative. What concerns me is, if these figures are in anyway realistic then the actions taken and the suffering inflicted has been totally unnecessary. Another useful fact life expectancy which is currently 81.2 in the UK (sorry about putting these figures forward if you are currently 81) compared with the average age of death (median and mean) of persons whose death was due to COVID-19 or involved COVID-19, by sex, deaths registered in week ending 9 October 2020 to week ending 1 January 2021, England and Wales.
Median Mean
Involving COVID-19 Due to COVID-19 Involving COVID-19 Due to COVID-19
People 82 83 80.5 80.7
Males 81 81 79.2 79.4
Females 84 84 82.2 82.4

for 100's of years in this country during an epidemic if there is a death during it will be used as a cause of death, I mean I have been diagnosed with flu about 5 times in my life by a gp but never had a test, so at that time im a stat, if i dies during a flu season with pneumonia I would die of both flu and that, its how its recorded here, its why we can never compare to other countries as all countries use different systems to record deaths so are flawed just by looking like that, use us and the US and look at covid and it isnt right as they record different as china do etc, like you im not here to argue but they are that side of the argument

I don't disagree. The first thing that should have happened is that all countries should have agreed, via WHO, how cases and deaths were going to be recorded. We would then have had better information about this disease. At the moment we are comparing apples and oranges!

Sarah Scobie has a blog on the Nuffield Trust explaining mortality measurements.
Excess deaths over a 5 year average during this pandemic could be much higher than 120,000.

| there are flaws in all data measurement techniques, trouble is people see there may be error, or their mate see a twitter rant, and jumps to the conclusion the stats are wrong and cant be believed and are hence untrue.
Whereas the 'educated' person sees the flaw and weighs up the potential error (in this case it is very small, as there only about 2.5k road deaths per year), maybe even considers the errors 'on the other side ' that arent being reported. EG it does not include people who die in road accidents on the way to the covid test centre to get their test!

It's not very difficult to educate inbred people. Rather than make a bland statement that the number of excess deaths = coronavirus deaths, could you please provide a detailed breakdown of deaths by illness from 2016-2021? Secondly, can you stipulate the deaths caused by coronavirus rather than deaths due to people dying with coronavirus? Thirdly, can you please tell me what the death rate was per '000 of population in 2020 and 2021 and how this figure compares to the previous, let's say 50 years, when we didn't have a pandemic? Fourthly, through your crystal ball, could you please tell me if deaths will rise or fall in other categories, such as cancer and heart disease over the next one to five years? Finally, as per my previous question could you please advise me when I said that I didn't believe in vaccinations? We can then have a reasoned debate!

| This actually has nothing to do with Vax or Anti Vax arguments now. The problem is coming from the French Government, stopping players being able to work, yet British clubs will still have to pay these players. Surely we need to go back to SL being British clubs now? The comp is farcical and devalued if healthy players are banned from playing in some games, for no good reason…….

| Good to hear IL say that all bar one of our squad have been vaccinated.
As for the individual who has chosen not to and thus may not be able to play in Catalan & Toulouse - put him on £0 wage for the week. Exercising Freedom of choice means you have to take the consequences of that choice, and if your choice makes you unavailable to do your job, then you should forego your salary.

You are correct.
I would have a jabs-for-jobs policy. RL is in a perilous state has it is without having games postponed, last season was a farce, we can’t literally afford a repeat.

Yes of course the only logical thing to do. Highly unlikely that it’s legal of course but hey face the consequences.
Also the unvaccinated nhs staff should also work for no pay then get rid of them in April once the winter season is over. Make them face the consequences once winter is over. It’s the only logical thing to do isn’t it?
