Prior to Friday I quite liked Hull as a team and club and thought if we didn't win the GF I'd like to see them win it. But since then the bitching and moaning and embarrassing comments from your fans and Yorkshire press has changed my mind.

Remember Wire winning two Challenge Cups on the trot too! Hardly mixing it with the big boys these days are they? Hull are competing....but they are not there until they have won the Grand Final.

Hull FC were not a club whose fans I previously associated with whingeing after defeats. Makes me think that their recent successes have brought newbies on board who've still got quite a bit of growing up to do.

What most RL fans don't quite understand is that Wigan have been told how much theyre hated for decades - it's part and parcel of supporting the club and it certainly doesn't phase 90% of the supporters.

One thing is for sure, none of them can explain why. You get told that Wigan are thugs and that Wigan are cheats but they can't tell you what Wigan have done that no other team has done that stands them out.

We understand that, like Man Utd, The New York Yankees, LA Lakers, any team with a prolonged period of success creates an ingrained dislike for that team, even if like in Wigan's case, they haven't been nearly as successful in recent years.

DIT: FWIW Hull are my favourite team to watch. I know it should be Cas but I've always preferred the style of rugby that Hull are playing. Forwards built like brick walls with fast, but powerful outside backs. When was the last time we saw one of our wingers put his opposite number on his ? Plus Radford is a really likeable coach.

evening my pie eating friends just like to say I was,nt whingeing or bitching about Fridays result, far from it I just thought we did well to stay in the game,what I am saying is i fancy hull to beat wigan in the grand final all things been even if they both get there ( only my opinion ) as for the number of posts I actually go and watch my team so I don,t have time to go on the forums, unlike a lot of you who seem to be in the thousands with your posts , probably the reason why you don,t turn up for semi finals or cup finals to busy exercising your fingers on the keyboard but never mind hope to see you in the grand final if not onto oz to watch the mighty hull fc vs that team from the little town up north wigan wanderers or is it warriors only joking!

chill out hatty its a game of rugby and by the way I,ve been watching hull fc since 70,s, so I,ve seen plenty of downs and yes I,m going to enjoy our bit of success and long may it continue and do you know what it will because in adam pearson we have a chairman who has invested in all the right areas to put this club back were it should be challenging for trophies

Walked down to Old Trafford last year with a group of Hull fans who were supporting Wigan for the day (good choice, obviously!). Good bunch even if they did say 'bagpack' instead of 'backpack'. Haha. I've always liked the club and fans tbh and I totally agree with the comments re: Radford too. I suppose you get whingers and bellends at every club. Ours is no exception.

On a related note when did the Sintelliners become so soft? I know their team is a bit mardy these days but it seems to have spilled over onto their fans too. I went over to redvee the other day and I've never seen so much whining about big bad Wigan and how they don't play fair. Jesus! I thought I was reading a football forum!

As good as Cas have Been, I think the best final this year would be Hull V Wigan.
Wigan would be hell bent on getting pay back for the Challenge Cup and Hull would want revenge for last weekend. There would be a bit of bad blood between both sides and as long as it was all kept under control it would be one great game to watch with some punishing hits.
