The other thing you get with youngsters is inconsistency. I like Williams and think he'll become a very good player but it's a big ask for either him or Powell, if that turns out to be the case, to fill Green's boots who's been a very big player for us. Personally I would have liked a senior option too but, I suppose, that's the price you pay for having such a strong production line. At some stage you'll get a situation where you either play players or risk losing them and I think both Powell and Williams, along with Hampshire, are simply too good to risk losing at this stage of their development. On the face of it I certainly think Saints go into next season with the better options at half which hasn't been the case for quite some time.
