...because we had Eastmond, Pryce & Wheeler... Matty is a good solid pro who'll never let anyone down but given the choice of which 3 out of those 4 you would have kept back then then it was a no brainer frankly, irrespective of what's happened to their respective careers since. |

That's the key thing for me.
We'll kick off 2013 with a halfback who's played the Wigan system and linked up with Sam, Mickey Mac and Lockers etc in training and matches for 7 months. |

Fair enough, obviously not seen them all in action as often as you have and some players are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, it looks like that may well happen to Joe Mellor with us, never good for any player to have a serious injury but Joe's injury seemed to come about just as he appeared to be on the brink of breaking into the first team and things haven't gone kindly for him in that respect since. |
