This is daft. Not one of us thinks we were the first to introduce flags to a stadium; neither do we think we were the first to sell pin badges or form an ultras group. The fact we seem to be getting accused of this is quite funny really.

They have a legal charge registered over an asset that I own. Have a look at Britannia's books if you want - you'll see a loan to me on their balance sheet, not a house in Berkshire.

They'd still hold the deeds if my house was worth £1m and they were owed 1p, would you say they owned my house then?

Isn't it the mortgage lender who reposses and then try to sell on to reclaim some of their money back, if it wasn't their property then i don't think they would be allowed to sell it......would they??

Dave is the resident mortgage expert but im assuming its similar to a bank loan for a car. If you dont pay back the loan they take your car as that what the debt is secured on

That's like saying a Bank which has an overdraft secured by a debenture conferring a floating charge over a company "owns" the company.

They don't "own" the company, the shareholders do. The Bank has prescribed rights under its charge if the company breaches the terms of its lending, but it doesn't "own" the company.

Same with a mortgage over property as far as I can see? The Bank's rights over the property only kick in if you don't pay them back. They can't do anything otherwise, as they don't "own" the property - the title holder does.
