Yeah I remember that. Could do that one too. I'll look into when I get back to Uni in October. A little side project if I find the time.

I primarily play electric guitar and piano, but I can play classical/acoustic guitar, bass, drums and have been known to sing every now and then. However I'd just get my mates from Uni to drop in and do some recording. It would sound very professional if it all came together, because they are top musicians at Lancaster and the tech students could do a professional mix of it all too.

I'd vouch for the old recording, the only issue for me would be the lyrics are 'a bit out of date' and some of the verses are a little 'corny'.



Seriously though I will look into it and see what can be done. If nothing else it's a bit of fun.

I reckon we should go for the old recording anyway because it has history. An ancient and loyal recording doesn't exist though.

Like I said earlier, I can do a one-off, by plugging my mp3 player/recorder into my hifi and hitting record then play. Quick bit of editing in Audacity to trim the before and after space, and bob's yer uncle.

Yeah me too please. I would happily be involved I sing but also play sax. I recon we can get people on the chorus maybe not all singing in time or with all the right words... lol other than this site do you know who I can get in touch with on Facebook and Twitter to get the idea further out there to try aoe address what Dave said.

How many of us are going to Wembley on coaches? If one person on each coach had the words and the tune maybe we could teach everyone else on the coach and practice on the way there?

Can't you just rip a copy of the one on YouTube and convert it to mp3? It can easily be done using a free program called "dvd videosoft" or is it illegal? If it is then ignore my first comment

I had thought about this for all the more popular songs that are likely to be sung.
With many new and non-regular supporters going to Wembley many will not know the words.
The more we could get singing along and preferably the right words then the better the atmosphere.
If someone could do a link to a printable `Song Sheet`then one person on each coach with newbies on could print enough off to hand round and get the party started on the way down!

I think it would be better if we could get the whole song going, and not just the chorus. However, i know that is unlikely, so would be happy to hear just the chorus.

Great stuff keep it going I really think we can get this booming out round wembley and then at all the games it will be emense if we can I remember faz singing it at the 2002 celebrations.
