They're making their ground bigger too so the 3000 people that don't normally turn up (except when they play Wigan or St Helens) can turn into 5000.'"
There CEO has stated on numerous occasion that they are the template club which the rest of SL are aspiring to, case of the noisey little neighbour?

What price ticket? Isn't Block 132 part of the Wigan allocation for season ticket holders? If so, how does that work?

| Quote ="Les Norton"Where do these figures originate from? The Warrington Guardian?
Excluding the Club Wembley seats, the only empty seats in the stadium last year were in the top tier of the Warrington end. The RFL even stated that Leeds would haue approaching 40k fans in the stadium. Don't forget we had 39k for the WCC game against Canterbury in 2005
.
I'd expect 25-30k this year, I'd imagine not so many are optimistic about the chances of bringing back the cup.'"
Stop making things up, the game was a sell out apart from club wembley seats.

Perhaps a few hundred people couldn't find the stadium or decided they had better things to do?

Less than 100 £51 tickets left but still a lot of £21, £26 and £31 tickets so there will be plenty going on general sale.

Doesnt sound good to me, I refer you to my earlier post....
The club could end up with some serious egg on their faces here.
All the fans I know including mostly ST holders have bought their tickets through the RFL. The club have needlessly made it hard to buy the final tickets. To a certain degree I can understand the decision on 1 ticket per ST as we have over 10K ST holders, although in hindsight we could have made it 2 due to amount of fans buying through the RFL. What I don't understand is not being able to purchase them through the e-ticketing system as we have done all season.
This has detered fans from going out of the way on a working day, in crap weather, why should they when they can just log on to the RFL website and book them in the comfort of their own homes.
Im still confident that we'll have 30K Wiganers down there, but Im beginning to question wether they'll have bought them through the club.

| apologies for my naivity (typo?!) here but what is the difference between buying from the club direct or via other means... does the club benefit somehow from supporters buying through them?

We have 10,000 season ticket holders. They have been the only ones able to buy tickets so far.
I doubt the other 20,000 have bought tickets from the RFL. Once they go on general sale our allocation will sell-out.
I still think we should of had 2 per ticket though and sell-out as quick as possible.

| I'm a ST holder and I've gone through the RFL, as wanted to sit with friends who were non ST holders.
OK - other friends have used our STs - but there may be others in the same boat, possibly more available from the club tomorrow than you might think?

That is because the two systems (RFL and Wigans) use two different system databases. Trying to seelessly merge them would be, 1) costly, 2) time consuming and 3) a recipe for disaster.
I can't understand anyone queueing for tickets when they can simply pick up the telephone. The number is easily accessible from the RFL site.

| I am a season ticket holder but one per ST was neither use nor ornament. 2 mins on the phone to RFL and was sorted with tickets for the Wigan end. This all seems very confusing but can't make any difference where tickets are bought the club will still end up with the same money - I think??

| 2 ST holders here who bought through the RFL website. Simply can't get over to Wigan easily during the week.
I though Ticketmaster ran both the RFL and the Wigan ticketing systems, so surely they should be compatible?

I spoke with Matt yesterday, ticket sales from the club had started to go slow, the queues on Monday went early afternoon and its not been too busy since. He says most are getting tickets from the RFL.
He expected sales to pick up today when they go on general sale.

| Id imagine therell be less 'neutral' fans at the final than normal. Wigan are universally hated by all fans, Leeds are very much disliked t'other side of the pennines. So the neutral will be hard picked to find a club to support for the day.
I'd like to know how many tickets have been sold to Wigan fans via the RFL, as Ive said previously I don't know anyone thats bought one through the club. But with everyone knowing that the West stand is ours, it will be still be a sea of Cherry and White.

| I bought 14 tickets in block 539 on Sunday online in about 2 mins. Had x5 season tickets and never used them.
Classic queuing that I remember. Must have been in the middle of our 8 in a row. My dad dropped me off at 7am on his way to work, saying "Get tickets sorted then off to school." Finally got our tickets at about 2pm, and then went home (couldn't go to school at that time). Had no problems getting a sick note off me dad though.
Great days, remember everyone in the queue being really friendly. Queuing over 'the duggie' and into the riverside club where you finally got warm when the queue moved inside.
My best effort was for the Verve tickets at Haigh Hall. Was going to get up early and get down there. Had a few beers the night before and ended up going down at about 10am, walking straight in and getting tickets. Several of my mates had queued overnight and were well miffed.

No they didn't by any stretch of the imagination. Unless the attendance was over 80k, which it it wasn't .
