Where has anyone said that Hoffman is better than Blair, apart from yourself?

Hoffman is 27 and clearly at the top of his game, Ben Cross is 32 coming to the end of his career so obviously he wouldn't have a big impact in the NRL. Again your proving your self to be an unknowledgeable fool.

Yes and Fielden wasn't half the players he was at 23 compared to 27..... Hoffman will not be getting into the aussie team, Blair would, thats why Storm fans are dissapointed, it isn't rocket science.

No one has said Hoffman is a better player than Blair other than your self. I was refuting the fact you stated Hoffman was only a "good" NRL player.

Well he isn't a great NRL player, the step below that is good, then average, poor etc I would say he is a great SL player and a good NRL player, just MY opinion.

Depends on your definition of great. I would say there are a fair few who have done the above that are not "great" players.

Considering what Melbourne have achieved over the last few years, you'd have to be a great player to get in the team of the decade yes.

Jamie Peacock and Barrie McDermott would be Leeds' props in the team of the decade, and thats just two off the top of my head. Allthough I can understand as a wire fan after seeing years of under achievement you must think that all clubs only have a small pool of talent to pick their team of the decade.

I think everyone is getting a little bit too sensitive about the subjectivity of classifying Hoffman. A good NRL player is still a compliment, I rate him extremely highly but I feel terms like 'great' are reserved for a more exclusive group of player. Let's be real about it - when Melbourne had cap issues he wasn't on the indispensable list.

Its not just the quality of the player. Hoffman is a top class SL player. Wigan have an embarrassment of young local lads in his position. If they can all learn something from the Hoff and we can win some silverware this year he will have been a great signing IMO. We will see years of benefit long after he has gone
