Tomkins talent wise cant really be faulted, wonder if the plan is to move him back to 6 at somepoint? According to what I've read Widdop is ripping it up at 6 in the NRL so would be interesting to see who got the nod for england

Read my posts over the years and I have championed such players as Eastmond, Foster, Clough, Evans and Ward.

The difference is - on the evidence of this thread - Wigan fans have waited until the case has been more or less proved before getting all smug. Codarmysaint and co were, to say the least, jumping the gun.

If you think about it tho, the question was (as i recall) who was the best scrum half or stand off (let's say halfback)

In that regard based on this seasons form it is Myler hands down, ( tomkins the better player i agree)

As a half back myler is the better of the three.

Tomkins is the better fullback and had the most impact this year.

Eastmond still had thr most potential for me. Just looks very unlikely to fulfill it due to his attitude.

myler is not better than Tomkins and has shown himself to be little more than another average support player.

Eastmond is a good un and it's a shame he's gone but he was never better than Sam.

Tomkins is a great player, he'll make a break out of nothing, one flaw he does have though is he's not much of a passer, when Sammy boy gets that ball he won't let go unless he's about to have his head taken off, hands like velcro!

Paul Deacon is pace and youth personified (and a Wigan lad) and no way would he be swapped for Myler or Lomax.
