| You dont get any trophies for sticking hundreds of points on crap teams who have thrown the towel in. Winning most games and winning knockout one off matches is how to do it.
Would you rather win 60-0 away to Salford then lose at home to Hull 24-10 or win 32-16 away to Salford then beat Hull 14-12?

| Whilst Wigan did take their foor of the gas in the second half, I think we should give Quins a 'little' bit of credit for tightening up their defence and making a game of it for 50 mins (albiet a pretty boring one). They were staring down a 80-90 nil defeat at half time and their players wiped the board clean and started afresh with a bit of determination and pride. No doubt ther coach will be using this '6-12' defeat in the second half as a positive to get their players mentally right for their next game.

I think you're right, but with even a little bit more effort I reckon Wigan would have scored another 30 points easily.
I don't know where I stand on this 'ease off once you've won' thing. It's all very well to save energy for next week, but we are still behind in terms of match-points. An 80-0 wipeout would have gone some way to readdressing that.
What was odd was that Wigan seemed absolutely determined to prevent Quins from scoring. They were furious when they conceded that late try. But to me that's a bit ridiculous. The best way to attack is to defend. Get down the other end and rip into them. While you're clocking up the points, they aren't.
An easy win turned out to be quite frustrating for the fans, who were expecting a big show in the second half.

| if you seen the way we played tonight you would be a lot more worried than you actually are. im sure if i seen you play in that 30 minute spell i would be more t but when it comes to big games it helps a lot more when you have got that killer instinct to play the full 80 minutes. if you ahve a good thirty minute spell against us your not gonna score more than 3 or 4 tries you drop off the intensity level trust me against us,leeds or saints then you're going to get punished and i can't wait for that to happen (if it does lol)

I thought with the game already won Finch had his chance to really shine last night but failed to impress in the second half.'"
Finch was excellent in the fist half especially his link with Hoffman.
Carmont then went off and Hoffman went to centre, then Mickey Mac went off to be replaced by Deacon and Tommy went to hooker. That's when Wigan became disjointed.
Neither Carmont or Mickey Mac returned, and I'm sure that's where the problems were.
Do fans really think that Tommy is a better 9 than Mickey Mac?

And I think you need to be a little less recklessly confident.
You played no-one last night, as did we. Those games were both pretty meaningless in the end.
And it's a big assumption that just because we took the foot off the gas when we were 42-0 up against Quins, we would do the same against you. And I'm not sure why you bring Leeds and Saints into it. We've already beaten Saints and we drew with Leeds even though we were dreadful.
Don't be one of these supporters who imagines that just because his team can obliterate those at the bottom end of the table, that makes them top dogs. You're top dogs if you battle your way through the play-offs and win the Grand Final, something Wire have never in the Super League era looked capable of doing.

| last nights game was really like watching paint dry... I can see why some are disappointed we didn't rack up more points but at the end of the day it doesn't really make much of a difference come the end of it. If we're in the Grand Final come October I'll be more than satisfied. That's what matters at the end of it all.

Do they really watch the same game that I did. Sam and Lockers were having a laugh, nothing more in it at all.
They were probably taking the urine out of people like the poster

To be fair she was probably sat in the South Stand and couldn't see them laughing.

Play for the full 80 in the big games? You mean like we did against Saints on Good Friday or like Wire have consistantly failed to do in the playoffs? Racking up a shed load against a second rate team is no indicator of what will happen in the big games. Stupid post.

Do it when it counts. Sticking 60+ on the poorer relations in Super league will get the numpties on Sky frothing but it won't do you any good in the playoffs. Come back when you've won a Grand Final
