St Helens and Wigan think they should be the only top clubs in the area and now they have serious competition from Wire,a club who are now hoovering up trophies these 2 clubs think are rightfully their's,they can't handle it.

However you try and look for positives in your own club's history just remember you aren't Wigan, you won't ever be as successful as Wigan and you're boring the hell out of this board.

Being serious for a moment. If I were a Wire fan my major worry would be the age of our key players. Hodgson, Briers, Morley and Monaghan are all the wrong side of 30. And as we've seen many times in the past it's a very, very difficult job to replace all your key players in such a short period of time.

While there all in the Wire team you'll continue to challenge for honors. Personally I think Wire are in a race against time to win the SL title before the inevitable happens, and those players retire and the team suffer a dip.

Top players will always want to sign for the big clubs who win trophies so we'll have no problem attracting the best players who will replace our over 30s in time.

Im surprised that so many of you keep biting at this tool, Yed has said it, Slim has said it, he's just on here trying to wind you up, and all you are doing is letting it happen. Frankly if the Warrington club went under RL would not suffer in anyway shape or form as quite frankly we can do without the club or it's fans.

Warrington fans have passion for our club that Wigan (or Saints) fans could only dream about.

We're a major player in English RL so instead of being bitter have some respect for the fantastic progress we've made under the leadership of the best coach in the game.

SL looked okay in 2006, and if you had gone down then it wouldn't have made a jot of difference, but I'm not getting in to a knob measuring contest, just stop responding to him and he will stop posting. You're making it worse.

With the comment made by Priestman about clubs going under if Wigan went under hes not far wrong. Fact is most RL players in SL are produced in the Wigan area. But that would not put any other club out of business if Wigan suddenly go under. But we take on average roughly 3k or more supporters to most if not all away games every season. That for a club like Salford, Crusaders, Quins, Cas etc is some serious amount of money. Like in 2006 we struggled but still took 3k to away games and even our home attendances went up during that season. When Wire were in the bottom half of the table not even bottom 2 your home attendances dropped. And it amazes me that people call Saints, Wigan and Leeds glory hunters when Wire is the biggest example of this.

SL needs Wigan far more than most clubs. Only Saints and Leeds i think has done as much for the finances of all tyhe clubs since SL started. As if they struggle attendances for home and away will hold firm for all other clubs they will drop.

Take out the 20k crowds we get vs Saints, Leeds and Dire and you'll see a massive gulf no other club in SL could fill.

Others may want to place thier heads in the sand but sadly RL needs Wigan.

not at all, if you look i came on this thread to tell you to ignore the idiot that is wirewonder. there is no doubt that wigan are an important part of RL, past and present, but to say that RL would basically fail without you is pathetic. I'm not getting into a tit for tat argument because it is pathetic, but to have such a warped view as you and priestman have shown is slightly embarassing. Wigan are one club and nothing else. No matter what you think, that is my opinion and i am entitled to it.
