I'm not here to say that Wellens is world class, because I don't think he is.

But Thurston is a scrum half and Lockyer is a stand off. Neither of them are full backs.

however lockyer started off as a fullback, and i think so did thurston but not sure.

I don't know about Thurston, but Lockyer did indeed start as a fullback and played there up until about 2003 I think. However, his prominent position in recent years has been at Stand Off, which is why I stated he was a stand off.

Stand what I said about Lockyer though....word class fullback until he switched around 2005 ish. One of the best I've seen along with Gary Jack.

apart from the original mentioned players winning the SL with Wigan last year, hasn't tommy won the WC with New zealand? hasn't harrison won hit man of the year more than once? didn't goulding score the 2nd highest amount of tries last year? isn't mcilorum our back up hooker with a view to him learning his trade over the last few years and this year being his first season as more or less first choice interchanging with tommy? hasn't carmont probably been our best buy in recent years and been on of the SL form centres over the last coupel of years?
