I didn't actually mean to make it sound like that's what I 100% thought, I agree you can't truly judge what the intent was by looking at it like that, I was meaning that obviously the RFL have viewed it in this light, and that is why he got the ban, as his first contact was not with the elbow meaning they must have thought there was still intent to do so.

its not a nickname (or as you spell it knickname) and we do not claim to have a team full of angles. Or angels for that matter

Again, stop being so pedantic, you knew what I meant. When you start picking up on trivial matters such as that it is obvious you are unable to muster a well thought out and justified response.

| Quote ="Sibbs Rhinos"Quote ="Fames"I find it so annoying when Leeds fans come trolling when Peacock got off for almost taking Sam's head off in the CC Q/F and Senior also got away with kicking out wildly at Joel, cutting his head in the process. Both penalised at the time ( although not sinbinned), but neither punished by the RFL. And in the same game Farrell was sinbinned when McGuire collapsed like a sack of spuds after he attempted to charge down a kick. And don't come out with the argument about not tackling a kicker in the air. Farrell had half turned his back as he jumped towards Mcguire.
As has been said by several others already, we would just like consistency from the RFL. Peacock, Senior and Bailey have got away with a hell of a lot in recent seasons, as have Morley and now Carvell since he started playing for Tony Smith. I wonder what the connection there might be....'"
I'm not trolling. Ah okay, I forgot that the Wigan team was full of angles, I wonder why they got he knickname Stompkins?'"
I note you have not responded to my point about the leniency shown to Leeds players and now Warrington players in recent years. I presume you meant "angels", by the way. Do you agree Peacock, Senior etc should have received bans for several of the "tackles" they have perpetrated in recent seasons?

They probably should have yes, then again I'm not trying to debate some sort of major conspiracy involving the RFL in these matters. The issue I brought up was Wigan fans trying to justify Tomkins actions on the bases of a slow mo replay, and in IMO that is severaly flawed. I have never once tried to justify the actions of any other players, or involve other examples, I was looking at the flawed way in which this incident was being viewed IMO.

| I agree it may be slightly flawed, but I think the reason for a lot of this is because of what has happened with other teams' players ( ie lenient and inconsistent treatment by RFL) in recent years.

to be fair I have relooked at the DP details and the one he got send off for had NO BAN so fair enough

Still don't see grounds for appealing though - the 'he didn't make contact' doesn't wash with me.

I noticed he got the 2 game ban for the leading with the forearm charge which explains the appeal. The case for the defence in that one, which was just Joel and Shaun Wane, was poorly argued compared to the charge of fighting. They were both heard at the same time so it appears they put more focus on getting him let off the fighting charge. A better argued case for the disputed charge should see a reduced ban.

It's different if we're appealing this one though. [urlhttp://www.therfl.co.uk/disciplinary/item?2403[/url
Presumably, the defence will be that if the initial contact is with the chest (as stated by the panel), then to give the 2 match ban is unreasonable.
Not out of the realms of possibility we'll get a match knocked off.

Full explanation is now up, The fine was for both, the ban was for the arm coming up after the initial contact was on the chest, see the link below.

We're not famous any more....
They couldn't stop talking about us when we were facing relegation, they couldn't stop talking about us as the club rose again and they definitely won't stop talking about us now we're back on top.
The biggest and most famous club in the game will always attract attention but now we are back at the top of RL the envy, bitterness, fear and hatred that the fans of other clubs have for Wigan seems bigger than ever. I love it!

Sorry I have just ripped this off Wigan fans by CPWigan... OMG what a joke organisation the RFL are...
Bearing in mind Lima has never played in SL before and Radford was sent off last year!
Here is the page of Radfords charge from the RFL:
www.therfl.co.uk/disciplinary/item?2400
Here is Lima's for the Saints game:
www.therfl.co.uk/disciplinary/item?2320
Notice a part of that is almost word for word:
Radford's:
"The Panel believed that your opponent’s limb was moved in an abnormal direction and outside the usual ranges of movement. Of particular concern to the Panel was your action in grabbing your opponent’s arm and shoulder, then proceeding to put your opponent’s arm and shoulder in a vulnerable position behind his back, with your body weight maintaining the arm in a vulnerable position with the arm and shoulder joint rotated in an abnormal direction that involved an unacceptable risk of injury to that player. As a defender you have a special duty to avoid such contact. The Panel believed your actions were unnecessary and could have resulted in an injury to your opponent"

Result:
Lima - 2 matches.
Radford - 0 matches.
Oh and to add Lima pleaded guilty and apologised Radford pleaded not guilty and has so far not apologised for his actions.
LOL what a joke.... and other fans don't think the RFL have an agenda!!!
