No doubt Solomona is effective, but surely the question is wouldn't he be even more effective if he turned some of his blubber to muscle? It strikes me as rather odd that Wire fans wouldn't rather have a more effective player if he was more disciplined in what he ate. In a sport of marginal gains that seems a very easy one to achieve.

My thoughts exactly. He is good but he could be at that level for the full 80 instead of half a game if he didn't carry so much fat.

We don't care, he is fat but he's also rather awesome, his strengths are his strength and handling.We think he's great and that's my opinion. He creates the space for others to exploite and it works well for us.

Solo is big, probably too big, but we get plenty of good gametime off him. He's a class act and an entertainer.

The way I look at it - if the only thing people can pick on with regards to Solomona is his weight, then it shows he's a good player.

I must admit noticed how fat he seems to have got. But then again I noticed he was doing the same amount of running about as everyone else and is exceptionally fit given his size.

I thought that wire were acting like pure thugs last night. The biggest offence must have from Paul Wood on a already tackled Ade Gardener. Whacked him right across the chops and he spilt the ball. Wellens getting flattened was another highlight.

Thought Solomona had a good game last night, the fact that he attracts so many defenders always makes him dangerous when you consider his off-load.

However, Carvell was just awesome for them - Saints didn't just get beat - they got beat up!

Don't see how he costs us games?
He's not a turnstile, he draws in 4 players every carry, his passing is as good as if not better than most halfbacks.
People go on about him not playing a full game? He's a forward, even Benny Westwood who is easily one of fittest forwards in the game gets bench time.

He cost you the game between us and you at the HJ last year by dropping the ball over the line in the last seconds.

I put it down to -poor goal kicking, personally.

watching wellens moaning with a bust mouth was brilliant. welcome to mr westwoods elbow. ive had some bad experiences with wire fans in the past but they are the minority and all clubs have em, but i wanted them to win last night. i did feel a bit sorry for them with injuries at cardiff but there pack was imense last night. i will be interested to see how many get cited for foul play though, morley and westwood with elbows, paul wood on gardner. doubt anything will come of it but the RFL do seem to be clamping down this year !!!!!

We beat them in the Grand Final and at Knowsley Road. Two things a Wire fan can only ever dream of. You finally beat them, big wow, it's about time you did. Last night was a cup final for Warrington or at least that's the impression they gave anyway.

Out of pure curiosity enlighten me on why it was a "cup final", aren't all local derby games played with intensity?
