Missed a great chance to market the game as the biggest derby of them all. It would surely have been the game of the season Saints v Wigan the last game at KR with the winner going to Old Trafford.

However, we could well meet in the final.

I think you'll find it'll be a traditional Grand Final involving this decade's 2 top teams, not some one season wonders!

Honestly, that really is my guess. Huddersfield are on a cracking run at the moment, and even though Wire were poor, nothing can be taken away from the Giants on a class performance.

Aye of course you are, as long as both Saints and Leeds get most of their players killed all season, Wigan are indeed the best side on earth. Knocked out against Leeds in the Challenge Cup, beaten in the first play off game by Leeds at your 'impregnable fortress' and now despite finishing top, you have to win at the home of the champions for the last 3 seasons to then play Saints at Old Trafford, who have already beaten you on your home turf this season as well and to whom you held on desperately to nick a win at Saints earlier in the season, despite Saints playing the most ill disciplined rugby anybody has ever seen....

Oh yes, best side in the competition by a mile. Neither Saints nor Leeds will be fazed by Wigan and thats the truth. Only top because of the poor form and bad injuries that the 2 better sides in the country have faced all season. So far, Wigan have played 2 big rugby matches this season, both against Leeds in the Challenge Cup and in the Play Offs. Results ? Beaten in both and I rather fancy you wont be going to Old Trafford either. Enjoy the last week of your season.

I wanted Wigan....it would have been out of respect for our rivalry and the ONLY way to say goodbye to the old girl....Saints have in my opinion robbed us all of a great memory and fantastic last match.

I'm not sure if you are new to the game of rugby or just a new poster.

Wigan had an important CC Q/F againt Leeds whch they were very unlucky to lose - lots of documented discyussion about this.

The game against Leeds last week was important, but not crucial as the losers lived to fight again. It is the games next weekend and the GF which really count. Let's see what happens!

Saints sole aim is to get to the grand final, why pick the the best team in super league when we have choice of the team that finished 5th ?

Whatever happens next Saturday, I have really enjoyed the whole season, having just signed 1 player the improvement as a team from last season is immense, and don't forget we had Amos Roberts who was the best player in the comp until his injury from which he has not fully recovered, just watch us next season, but yes I have enjoyed this season thanks.

I couldn't give a monkeys about the 2 points. It is the eternal bragging rights that I am interested in.
