I said exactly the same thing when you played cats in the semi as i wanted to watch a saints v wigan final. However, as soon as the match kicked off i found myself immediately screaming for catalans to win. Trust me, if you are watching the match on sunday, there is no way you will be cheering for wire. Oh, and just a another small point, i do find it a little bit sad that some of your fans want saints to beat leeds. Yours is the biggest and most famous derby in the game (awaits angry replies from hull) and you should never want saints to win. And that includes World club challenges.

You're quite right mate I'll be shouting for Catalans and Leeds at the weekend guaranteed because when I see the teams line up I'll be judging from a less abstract (if that's the word) position.. I wanted Saints to beat Wire last weekend but had several different reasons for that.

I don't care who wins out of leed and saints. They're both as bad as each other.

So long as Catalans win and then go on to win at the CC Final.

I'm not so sure, you know. I think a fair few would echo Deano G's sentiments. I know he backed Leeds, but from what I was saying, it's 'only just' Leeds. I think my view on it would be similar, backing Leeds over Wigan.

how boring would a leeds v catalan final be? surely you would want to be entertained whilst watching a final? I know i would be. if we don't make the grand final i hope it's wigan v warrington so i'll be entertained.

The thing is ... it only takes one complete dipstick to turn you against a club, and as we've seen a significant number from Leeds over the last few days (people who, for some bizarre reason, seem to have been completey taken by surprise when Wigan beat them last Friday), that they are currently my preferred option to win nothing this year.

There are still plenty of Saints and Wire dipsticks out there, no question. But we haven't seen too many from Saints recently. Possibly because they are too nervous about our 'return' to be as cocky as they used to be.

Ah, true, I'd forgotten about that one! Sadly, I'm away in Edinburgh this weekend so will have to miss it.

I'd be exactly the same with Saints and others to be honest. The more decent competitive teams there are the better for the sport. I'm really hoping Widnes can come up to SL and make a go of it it'd do our attendances the world of good too.

Not bothered who win's TBH - whoever wins will win the CC IMO.

I fancy Leeds for this one, they always do well when thier the 'underdogs' but write Saints off at your peril! Should be a good match.

Leeds v Catalan final with Catalans winning and Wigan taking the hubcap and the GF and World Club and then rugby league domination would be my ideal

I shall be there.

I want Saints to win the semi as they play the game as it should be done and yes we have had some bust ups with them, but the team and fans are what rugby is about and whilst there will always be banter and jealousy etc (both sides) at the end of the day the game will ALWAYS be what matters most and I think Saints do this.

Many will disagree and if we lose to Saints I am really mad but they don't do what happened last week and play pretty good stuff and the fans are not as petty as Leeds and Wires probably because they have had similar experiences to us, not as many but would rather go to Saints (after DW) than any other ground and know the match will be good.

Leeds easy choice do we want that saints team compared to ours in late 80s/early 90s because thats what will happen should they win.

As to the game, I shall be watching in the Yorkshire Pride in Calle Londres Benidorm. (with my Saints shirt on)
