I never thought I would say this, but it's Saints for me, the way the buffoons from Cheshire have become on the the most loathed teams around ( by which I mean their fans not the club itself )

Saints. Pains me to say it but they are a proper rugby league club with a decent set of fans. Worthy of our respect.

Wire have neither attributes and are worthy of no respect at all.

Losing to us must of really hurt given how much you dislike us.

It was irritating, but last Friday and Saturday more than made up for it.

Does '21-12' consider himself to have a 'good knowledge' of the game like the supposed 'Saints fans in general'. I wonder if he'll be cheering on the 'amber and blue' or the
crimson V and cream on Saturday. Also, no-one on the wire board has said 'we are the greatest team' and words to that effect, it's just a number of sl fans believe that just because we have had some recent success, they like to believe that our fans are arrogant when in reality it's a way of deflecting disappointment.

Not really, shrugged it off. Best team won on the night.
I just find our relationship with Saints fans is like a pantomime villain kind of thing. Arch enemies but good natured at heart. Respect borne out of the fact that for the past 60 years or so we've gone toe to toe for rugby league supremecy. We'd have a decade, then they'd have a decade and so on. When it's our time we take the mick out of them and they take it in good spirits and vice versa.

In the much bigger picture I don't think (or rather hope) it wont matter. If Wigan are going to win the league we're in an excellent position to do it for ourselves. If Saints win, whose to say they wont catch us up? I just hope for an enjoyable game of high class Rugby League that provides an entertaining spectacle on Sky Sports. Including plenty of biff and a couple of bans!

Got far more respect for Saints than Wire (am I really saying this!

) so would have to choose Saints just hope it is a great game and sorry that Eastmond isn't playing

If it meant Warrington winning the league and us finishing second I still want Wire to beat St Hell. Under no circumstances could I ever bring myself to want THEM to win a game. I think I should see a psychiatrist really because as much as I love Wigan RLFC, I think my hatred of St Hell is greater. In my mind I think it stems from Wembley 1961, as far as I know this is the first game I sat and watched with my dad and I was heartbroke at the end but then again I was only Eight!
