I'm amazed that anyone could find a negative in running a TV add, especially if it's true that it didn't cost us that much.

Bit of self-deluding going on there, I think.

It's obviously done it's job then if even the Latics fans are discussing it.

Same for Budweiser, their so desperate to flog their stuff they have to sponsor pretty much every sporting event going. So only desperate companies sponsor and advertise then???

Its only happened in the last 5 years or so, before then i knew of no animosity at all - and i'm born and bred in the middle of Wigan. I think its basically they get poor crowds for team team playing the biggest sport in the biggest league in the world with the cheapest tickets and all the media keep saying they get low crowds 'because its a rugby town'

18,000 on against the biggest football club in the world in pretty poor, considering it was a Saturday 3 o clock, non televised kick off with 5,500 official away fans and God knows how many more in the home ends.

The add is brilliant and I love the comments from the latics fans



I have no idea why it is not all over youtube and Facebook and twitter with loads of advertisements. Lots of interaction on those 3 websites could target more specific audiences.

Because when we play at the DW between september and february we ruin their pitch by wearing the grass at the goal mouth away

After seeing the ad, myself, 21-12 and Jukesays will be signing autographs in the South Stand bar prior to the next home game.




p.s. All 3 are available for personal appearances, opening supermarkets, unvailing plaques etc........reasonable rates, (any nude work will be extra + V.A.T.).
