He's sign up for this season and next I can see him leaving after that though, unless Richards doesn't get signed up.

| Whilst I think these loan deals are good development tools for the lads just breaking through, I hope it's not a season long loan as is being mentioned here. Not only would I like to see him given his chance for us as the opportunity arises this season, I also think it is a bit narrow sighted from the club (if it turns out to be the case) as it would leave us short of cover should more than one injury strike in the backs. Just as a 'for example', say Roberts and Phelps were both injured, Pat to fullback, presmably, but who would be our wingers? Without playing down the likes of Goulding, who is a solid squad member, we would be seriously short of serious threat out wide. A three month loan should be the maximum for mine and, if I'm being honest, I'm not sure Ainscough is the right one to go out on laon at all. I think the dual registration is giving him decent quality game time. The higher level should be as the opportunities arise at our own club. It's not as though he hasn't got SL experience.

| The main thing for Ainscough is he plays at the highest level possible as much as possible, that way the weaknesses and deficiencies in his game can be ironed out at someone else's expense.
If Ainscough is part of Lenegan's and McGuire's future plans, I hope both make him aware of it. What we don't want is him becoming restless and disillusioned with the club.
Personally I think it would be best for him to play for Cas, he'll be at the highest level possible and can really be tested by the opposistion that if he were playing for us he would play against.

Those are exactly my thoughts, but I do hope we have a "come back" clause to cover for injuries to Wigan players.
Saying that I still think Josh Charnley will be a better all round player than Ainscough in time.

| Personally I don't think our own players out on loan should be able to play against us. I remember back to when Kevin Brown was on loan at Huddersfield. Ok he did eventually move permanently but for a long time during a match in August 2006 his try for Huddersfield was sending us towards relegation, even though he was still our player! Thankfully Danny Orr scored a late winner for us - [url=http://wigan.rlfans.com/news.php?readmore=370=#FF0000wigan.rlfans.com/news.php?readmore=370[/url

| I am gutted if gone to castleford.Hopefully we can keep farrell and davies for the season.Been a widnes fan i am not happy with dual contract if this happens. But i can understand for his development. But what will happen if you have 2 or 3 injuries in your backline? This is where dual is good for wigan. As a widnes fan i think this deal is crap for us.

It does my head in when teams let lads go out on loan to club within their division and then ban them from playing against themselves. I makes these loan moves abit of a joke imo.
We don't think your good enough to play in our 17 but we won't let you face us either. Talk about holding a lad back.'"
How would stopping him play [itwo[/i league games against us be holding him back when there is another 20-odd to go? Even as a dual registered player Widnes he would not have been allowed to play against us if we drew them in the cup.
What would you say if he went to Cas, we drew Cas in the cup, Ainscough got cup-tied playing for them and Roberts gets injured? We wouldn't be able to play Ainscough as replacement and if we got to the final he'd not be able to play for us. I bet he'd love that.
Aincoughs a dangerous player so not having him play against us makes sense to me.
I am also glad Elima is banned as well and the fact Bosch is injured is just tough luck on them. All this "I'd rather we played a full strength side" stuff does my head in. It was said before the Wire game about Morely and Carvell and so as long the RFL doesn't do what they did with Carvell and overturn Elima's ban I will take the advantage that will give us. I am sure MM will.

| If you've got the courage to loan a player out to another superleague side who'll be battling for a play off spot with us then we should let him play against us.
We want him to gain experience so why not let him play in the 2 games against us? We're surely not that insecure we'll stop him doing that.
As for cup games I wouldn't let him play either wheather they be against us or anybody else just incase we do need him at some point. I suppose that could be considered as holding the lad back but we've also got to look after our own interests in that competition. My decision on that would be nothing to do with being worried about what the lad could actually do to us.

| His debut will be Sky televised as well on Saturday. Good Stuff!
And I see they won't let him play against us which is right in my view and neither in the cup if its extended.

Again thats a very good clause put in by the club a few years ago we would not have done that

That's just daft. He's still our player and if he scores tries for Cas against our other rivals then that helps us. Contributing to a possible loss for us against Cas that would affect our league position would rightly have the fans asking what on earth was going on.
Quote We want him to gain experience so why not let him play in the 2 games against us? We're surely not that insecure we'll stop him doing that.'"
There are plenty of other games for him to gain experience but I actually prefer the dual registration idea anyway because as I understood it he could train with Wigan part of the week and we have just got a great coaching set up put in place so he'd benefit from that IMO. What sort of coaching is he going to get at Cas?
Quote As for cup games I wouldn't let him play either wheather they be against us or anybody else just incase we do need him at some point. We have to look after our own interests at all times and having a player who can score tries like he can lining up against us is not in our interest be it in SL or the Cup and not playing in two out of another 20 odd games is neither here nor there in terms of his development.

He isn't. The original assumption was that we had recalled him to play but since turned out we recalled him to send to Cas.

| It's a good move for the lad. As i've said previously i'd have let him play against us in the league fixture but I can understand the reasons for the club not wanting that.
Either way I just hope ge gets a good spell in there and shows what he's made of. If things work out well for him there and we stay clear of injuries here he could well do the rest of the season for Cas which will benefit him and Wigan hugely.

The reason he's been given the ban is according to the RFL because he was sent a warning letter last season about his tackling technique. To justify a ban on that basis and then rescind it on appeal would be crazy - but this is the RFL so we will have to wait and see.
