Last friday was the first time in the last 5 or 6 seasons we didnt even chant when the team came on to the pitch.

I am not saying drums are the be all and end all. What i am saying is that with no drum we struggle for atmosphere in the east stand.

We need to raise the roof on Friday night so both the east and south stands are making an atmosphere.

Yes we need to drum up support in the East on Friday

All you could hear from the South Stand was that irritating tapping of their 6 drums. You couldn't hear any singing whatsoever...

same in every stand west was as dull as the south.

Hopefully next week playing a team with away fans will be a huge diffences

Some of the best games for atmosphere have been without drums. Saints away, Hull away 2007.

At home we need people who sing all sat together, but that won't happen.

Leeds, Hull KR, Castleford... teams with the loudest home support, they all have an area for singing.

When you come to Knowsley Road without the drum, it certainly doesn't hamper the atmosphere. I'm so glad we don't allow them, if someone was stood next to me with one of those for a full season I'd probably lose the will to live (and my hearing)

I chose no. We shouldn't have multiple drums like we do, as the majority are carried by spotty kids who treat it like they do their special place, and just bang away at it, rather than beat with any sense of rhythm.

We should have one drum, carried by someone who can actually bang it in time, and leave it at that.

I also said no, some of the best games we've had away from home have been without the drum. Places like KC etc.. We don't need a drum to create an atmosphere!

While we've had some cracking atmospheres away from home, even with 17000 at our place, there's still a quarter of the ground full so it hampers the atmosphere. With the West Stand being quieter than the others it really means only half the fans in there are creating any noise.

Does he not work at the stadium for home games any more?

Too many drums is like "too many cooks, spoiling the broth" but one for the South Stand one for the East is necessary as far as I'm concerned.

If a drum isn't in the East stand this season then I hope we can get some songs going because the perception that the South stand is the stand were ALL the singing gets going is false and very often fans in the East stand begin and fans in the South follow.

Drums should be banged from the car park when matches are played !
