And what excuses will you come out with if and when he has a great game. It works both ways so it's not worth mentioning.

I didn't think Higham was in the squad. The selection choices of one man don't mean a whole sport is on its ar$e. Whoever pulls on that England shirt will get my full support. Personally I'd go with McGuire and Sam.

| I think Eastmond at 4, McGuire at 6, Tomkins at 7 and Sinfield at 13 would be the right choices. Sinfield to organise and kick, McGuire to support half breaks and Tomkins to run and step all game. I think we'll miss Pryce, particularly in defence, he's very strong for a back and might have done a better job of containing those big pacey backs we'll be up against.

I know, I wish Senior was there because he's a hardnut but he's not been selected, I wish Pryce was outside Eastmond because he's strong but not selected either. At least Eastmond will be able to create a try or two.

I'd be looking at Ellis. Dear me, we are so short of quality centres in this country!

Not sure about that one, I understand your thinking in that Ellis will be strong enough but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be fast enough, same as Lockers and same as Wilkin. Whoever plays there needs to be able to slide quick on the line, hence my selection of Eastmond, mind his defensive worries are a pain, there really is no one who will be up to it, especially when our backline is further weakened by squad selections IMO.

I agree with what you're saying, but if we're looking for some defence in the centres i'd play Ellis there before Lockers, am i going mad or did Ellis at least used to be a centre?

| To be honest I couldn't give a shiny $hite anymore.
I hope Sam doesn't play and gets fresh for Wigan next season, then I hope Tony (In no way biased) Smith picks Myler at Scrum Half and England get smashed in each game which results in poorer performances than last year.

He was a good one as well.
Good enough for Leeds to snap him up anyway.
He's no Inglis but as much as i like Lockers swapping him and Ellis would make the England team stronger.

| My England team would be:
Briscoe
Fox
Ellis
Shenton
Hall
McGuire
Tomkins
Morley
Moore
Peacock
O'Loughlin
Burgess
Sinfield
Graham
Roby
Carvell
Westwood
Doesnt matter really though, whatever team we put out we will only finish 3rd behind the Aussies and Kiwis, even if the whole Leeds team played including overseas players i cant see anyone gettin' past those 2.

Ellis will do a better job than anyone at centre and be solid in defence.
I think we need Sinfield in the team for organisation and kicking so play him at hooker as I don't think Roby in the team is just with the way he has played.
Start with 4 props to steam roll them and play Burgess for 80 but keep the rest really fresh with interchange.
Westwood is included for his size from the bench to sustain the impact of the pack which I don't think Wilkin would do, its not like our backrowers will be running through gaps.

| To be fair if we all picked who we think should be in the xiii it wouldn't matter.
The fact is we will get our arris handed to us no matter who plays because we simply are not good enough.
If the Aussies don't beat us by at least 20 points i'll be very surprised and unfortunately i honestly think that the kiwis will do the same.

| Bloody hell, no Lockers now, this squad gets worse by the minute. I'd play:
FB Shaun Briscoe
RW Ryan Hall
RC Kyle Eastmond
LC Michael Shenton (Keith Senior!)
LW Lee Smith (Leon Pryce!)
SO Danny McGuire
SH Sam Tomkins
P James Graham
H Scott Moore
P Jamie Peacock
SR Sam Burgess
SR Gareth Ellis
LF Kevin Sinfield
S Gareth Carvell
S Adrian Morley
S James Roby
S John Wilkin
Steamroll them early doors with Graham, Peacock and Burgess then good kicks every time from Sinfield and tons of tackles from Ellis. Then bring Wilkin and Roby into the fray when they start tiring and giving us a bit of room to play with, those two can be very very handy in attack. That's the theory anyway.
