Back on topic, as I said in another thread unlucky. A draw would have been a fair result. Wigan bombed a try and then saints bombed an even easier one.

You should be proud of your team and ignore the idiot who I quoted. After all, saints hardly had the cutting edge in attack but it was our defense that won it (along with the slippery conditions)

We played the game tight, hence the kicking dead etc, we just couldnt find a killer pass in attack, Noble had the correct game plan, it just didnt come up for us. He had that team fired up and ready today.

As i'm sure all wigan fans are I'm absolutely gutted we lost that tonight, however it was such a tense affair and the tight competitiveness of the game imo neither side deserved to lose, hope we learn from this and are able to take the next similar game like this.

On a positive note, 1-17 played their socks off, yes roberts made a lot of errors but he also made a few breaks and was fairly solid in defence. Mossop and flanagan were superb, sam as always was very good in attack always causing problems and his work ethic in defence is evident for all to see.

We have a bit of a selection headache next week, imo mossop to play instead of joel, flanagan in for goulding on bench, lockers to loose and bailey back to SR. Looking forward to next week especially if the commitment and desire match tonight we could get a chance of redemption at wembley.
