Being purely selfish, give us Doncaster away on the Friday night so I can actually get there after work, will be working all weekend during the afternoons.

Doncaster away. Unfamiliar away day, rest a few players and stay in the hat so that we hopefully have injured players back for when we face SL opposition. I think we're capable of beating anyone except Saints or Wire.

Widnes away could leave us with egg on our faces, given that we don't like risking our best players on their pitch and they are in the habit of winning....

I was also thinking that maybe we should rest some ‘star’ players against Saints whom we can’t possibly beat with our present team so we have a better chance of beating Salford who will be tired after their Good Friday game.

Depends what the team looks like by then but I wouldn’t rule us out. Let’s make no bones about it Saints are a distance in front of everyone including Wire and that would’ve been the only draw which would’ve totally ruled us out IMO.

If we can get a strong pack out you never know.

Not too concerned about us drawing tough opposition away to be honest. On current form you would have to say we are likely to lose but the tie isn't played for four weeks so things could change for both us and Warrington by then. If we are still struggling in terms of form and injuries then and lose, then we get rest weeks later in the season to help us in the fight to stay up. If we have started to get some regular first teamers back and to pick up points in the league by then, then we would have a better chance of winning the cup tie. If we were to beat them we would be in the last 8 having removed one of the main contenders for the cup in the process, with another sure to have gone out from the Hull v Cas tie (and would presumably be in much better form on the field than we are at present).

Just as Saints fans have sold out their end for Friday. Wigan RL could have added a fiver to the North Stand prices and it would have sold out. Saints fans feel certain of a win so they're turning up as they haven't for years.
Just remember they have won one trophy in the past ten years.
