No, Wigan finished the game with no subs available, they just got overpowered in the last quarter (quite understandably)
It'll be interesting to see the make of of the Aussie team on Saturday compared to the Wigan and Leeds games.

Ooh Rogues you just couldn't wait until full time could you before bigging up Wigans performance as opposed to trying to belittle the Rhinos after 20 minutes could you
The game actually lasts 80 minutes

Correct me if I'm incorrect Rogues but Australia will field 14 of their 21 named squad that played against Wigan, in Saturdays 1st test
Australia will field 13 of their 20 named man squad that played against the Rhinos, in Saturdays 1st test
Now that you have your evidence Rogues,Your point is what?
and were you again trying to have a dig at how much our academy is in terminal decline?
We also have 4 players selected in the England 17 man squad so that's not too bad a percentage is it?
How many Wigan players are in the 17?
Apologies for my pedantic post Rogues but sometimes your holier than thou posts are a bit tedious and often without foundation too....Obviously

I wasn't belittling the Leeds performance at all, just giving the Wigan lads the praise they deserved. As I have said previously Wigan finished the game with five players with broken bones (leg, ankle, shoulder, cheek and collarbone) plus one carried off with concussion. With twenty minutes to go they were leading 18 - 6 but simply ran out of numbers.
I haven't compared the teams for today, but I'll be at the game, if you're going come into the Park Hotel pre match and we'll have a chat.

| Went to the game this afternoon, England lacked composure when attacking and dropped a lot of ball. Although had England not missed a few of the "easier" conversions they could have won the game.
The difference in size between the Aussie "schoolboys" and the England team was crazy, And not sure who the aussie 16 was but he was a piece of work!..

| Enjoyed today's game, the Aussie lads were the better team, they will have benefitted from their run outs against Wigan and Leeds. The Aussies were that much sharper with the ball and dominated the tackle more. England stuck at it and have some improvement in them.
The difference in size was again obvious, I thought the Wigan pack looked bigger than the England one. Looking forward to next Friday's game

| It was clear that the Aussies were going to be dominant down the middle. It was just so easy for them to eat up metres. England struggled to make any ground in the first half and were relying on penalties to get them up field. When they did have good field position it was squandered by poor execution. I think it was 3 times that a short pass to an oncoming forward at the line resulted in a spilled ball in good position and on the third occasion their fullback gathered the ball and went 80 metres to score.
England improved as the game went on. The forwards weren't really a match physically but they kept working hard throughout. I thought Luke Waterworth improved the speed of the ruck when he came on and made a positive impact. His ability to get the ball wide quickly proved to be quite useful as England had players out wide who could cause problems, particularly Gildart and King in the centres.
Jordan Abdul looked good. He was a handful and puts in some hard tackles. He's not your typical stand off, in fact he's very similar to Jamie Doran.
Nick Gregson went off early in the game with what looked like a bad knee injury. The knee was strapped up before the game so it's obviously been giving him some trouble. Hopefully the injury isn't as bad as it seemed at the time.
England finished the game very well. I thought Australia took their foot off the gas a little bit and that allowed England to get back into it but you have to credit England for never thinking the game was out of sight. With a better goalkicker the game would have been very interesting.

Heard the same rumour myself and wouldn't be surprised. Wane did the same thing last year with Joe Burgess.
Gildart is a very talented player who could be anything he wants to be if he applies himself.

| I seen on twitter a few other players telling Gildart to enjoy America.
Not sure where I stand on this tbh. Hard to tell what will be more beneficial. Those Aussies are huge and a real test and all the players will really benefit from testing themselves. On the other hand a full pre season with the first team should really kick him on as well. I'd expect to see Gildart get a good few games this year.

| Going to get down there tomorrow but they're not doing many favours with a 7pm kick off! Do the youngsters have to be in bed for 9pm?
I get in from work about 6.30ish but only live at Atherton so I should be ok but it's not great for a lot of others I'd imagine.

| I can't make it tonight as it's the annual meet up of the "lucky fekers - escapees - retirees" with ex works colleague in Manchester.
Anyone heard the extent of Nick Gregsons injury from the last game?

| Didn't end up making the game due to a poorly baby but it looks like they're going to beat the Aussies.
28-14 up with not long left. A fabulous effort against a massive Aussie team.

| Not sure how Ash Golding got man of the match, way too much lateral movement for me.It was a massive defensive effort at times against a much bigger side.Jordan Abdul's kicking game was top class and was the stand out performer for me.

| They battled far better in the middle of the pitch than last time when they looked dominated (I thought we were lucky to only lose the first test by 4). That lead to better field position and we executed well once we got up there. Ash Golding was never man of the match though, I'd have given it to either the aussie 5 or our 6.

That would be Jansin Turgut from Hull who was the England captain. He's a player I've mentioned a few times in the past as "one to watch" The Aussie #5 was Latrel Mitchell who looks as though he could be the next Greg Inglis, frighteningly talented, plus power and pace.
