We should take the gantry flags and get as many hung up as possible. They can't stop you taking them in.

Official line from the Saints safety officer and through our club is No Flags (On sticks or Gantry flags), No Drums end of.

Whether Saints fans can hang flags or do whatever is nothing to do with us as if they do then I guess they will have gone through the proper channels previously to with the Saints safety team (Like we have to do every game) to allow it whereas we won't have?

If thats what has been said then we'll have to abide by it. Having to "go through the proper channels" to take a piece of material into a stadium is pathetic IMO. At our place its different due to where they are "erected".

I think we are being uber-sensitive at the moment as our H&S certificate is still being assessed / new.

I don't really blame Saints in particular. We seem to be having more and more problems at every stadium. The H&S regs in this country are getting beyond a joke. This is the first time we've been told that we cant take the "stickless" flags into a ground though.

Don't blame the H&S regs (as there are none specifically AFAIK), blame the over zealous interpretation of usually vague requirements!

Not sure TBH, I would guess it's all in the hands of H&S. We had an issue the first week with people moving from the seats to the terraces to be with friends, which didn't help.

I've had to tell my 6' 4" work colleague who comes from Gdansk that he is not allowed into wang tree stadium. He's p!ssed off.

I was going to suggest putting the flags in your pockets but I'm just being silly. Just drape yourselves in the flags, much easier.

Easier said than done when they are 12ft
