Hopefully he won't be leaving, and he'll be on a season long loan to Huddersfield. Which actually would be the best for all involved.'"
Watched this lad in your under 20's on Saturday and I was blown away, he was magnificent (along with a few more senior players) in that game, but he'll need to play SL on a regular basis and looking at your squad I don't see too many opportunities next season for him so it could work out well for both the player and the club for him to spend a season out on loan.

I suppose you will get that on a forum which includes opposition fans.
One intersting point is that most reckon Finch plays best with a playmaking scrum half next to him. This could be an issue if we put Tommy to 9 and deacon retires. Would Finch and Sam make a highly effective half back pairing? I have my doubts. And, as some have already stated, i think a new quality 9, with Tommy and sam as halves, is needed to complete our squad for next year.

| I fell that we would have a complete team if we could just sign a good hooker, i prefer tommy at 7 as i feel he is improving and become much more mature, he also doesnt offer the cunningness of a 9, or the trickery.
Now i have heard from numerous people that michael ennis could be on his way to wigan, this could be an immense signing if true! He is awesome and would add countless attributes to our team, he i one of my favourite hookers. Although i doubt he would come due to his age, his SOO place and potential rep opportunities.
But here is to hoping that the signing could be made!

Don't mean to pour water on your theory but have people put two and two together and got a Bulldog? Undoubtedly Ennis would be a great signing and could feasibly be achieved with quota spots and cap space but I agree it seems unlikely.
The more I ponder on our situation next year, the more I think that should our pack dominate teams as much as they potentially could, Tommy and Mickey Mac would have the platform to play. However we are clearly going to miss Piggy's passing, creativity and control.
I would be prepared to forego the resigning of Hock if we then sign a quality hooker, yes he was an immense player and is of an age to be even better when he returns but we also have a massive quota of talented, young backrow players and I have a gut feeling that we would benefit from a player in the mould of Ennis.
Failing that putting a bid for a stopgap such as Chad Randall could leave us with the option to get a big name in the 2012-2013 season?

| If we were to sign Ennis then Lenegan would really have delivered on his promise of only signing high quality overseas players. Ennis, Hoffman, Lima and Finch are all of that quality and still the right side of 30

but we only signed those 3 from the Storm because the Storm had to offload players. There is zero chance of us signing a player like Ennis, that's just crazy talk

| As a Wiganer living in Melbourne for the past year, I have watched most of the Storms games either at AMI park or on the box this year and very excited that we are getting such quality. I would say Lima is a solid and hard to get down, Finchy very creative and abit of a character but will give 100%, and Hoffman well seem to have a off year but his last game against the Knights on Sunday had a great one. Considering the year the Storm has had, playing for no points Im amazed these three player have shown the commitment so far in the NRL. The fact is these players are Wigan because they do not wanted to play against the Storm next year (to try something different) and from what I have seen on the field we will not be disappointed. These player have come from a culture that they play for the jersey on their back and give 100%..which I would say the past few years (not including this one) has been lacking. I cannot wait to see them in action for Wigan personally and they will be missed greatly here by thr Storm fans.

| I still think there is a hooker/a scrum half to come in.
Alot of that also depends where Madge see's Amos/Sam playing next season.

| As others have pointed out we seem to have an abundance of 2nd row talent at the club. Not all of them will make it at Wigan but the majority probably will go on to have decent SL careers if their performances in SL so far are anything to go on.
What we don't seem to have however is a good front line hooker or any real depth there.
I'd love to see IL start to look at some of our 2nd row players as commodities that we could use as bargaining chips for a new hooker. Instead of letting the contract of someone like Tuson run down and leave on a free why don't we offer Quins a little bit of cash + Tuson (who would be a good asset to them) in exchange for Randall? Now i realise this would be us swapping at young player for 29/30 year old Aussie but as i said before players like Tuson are gonna find it very difficult to make the cut here anyway. We've taken time, effort and money to develop these players so lets at least get something back out of them.
In regards to Davis. I really hope it's only a 12 month loan. Out of the three props that will be challenging for the 4th prop spot Davis is the last one i'd like to see leave. Whilst I'm happy with Prescott and O'Carroll I'd love to see how Davis looks after playing as many SL games as them. Either way with the addition of Lima and the resigning of Coley and Fielden who ever gets that fourth spot is gonna find it a hell of a lot easier next season.

| IMO Tuson is quality and his strong never say die attitude will have him knocking around the first team for a long time IMO. If we are looking for bargaining chips then we should be letting players in the under 20's who have very little chance of making it at Wigan go and therefore freeing some space for some of the under 18's to move up to the under 20's that bit earlier so they are playing at a higher level.

I agree with everything you are saying. Tuson seems to be a good pro but sadly so are guys like Tomkins, Farrell, Hansen, Mossop, Hoffman & Hock. Quite simply the number of players we have is more than the number we need. For a guy like Tuson it's a shame he's stuck behind special players like Joel & Faz and is younger than guys like Mossop who got thief chance to impress first.
Someone will have to leave and Tuson looks like the fall guy at the moment n

| Why doesn't Tuson play 9? Give him a good off season and most of the year in the under 20's.
Or what do people think of making a bid for Scott Moore?

I'd love us to go for Moore. He's lost his way a little this season but when at hudds he proved he's got considerable talent.
A ore season under Madge would see him back on top form.

I don't think it is. This season has shown just how much depth we need, especially in the forwards, just to cover injuries. We're not really increasing the number over last year, with Lima a replacement for Feca & Hoffman for Bails, and there's no reason to expect that next year will be any better, injury wise.
