No-one's going to be able to tell you anything, no matter how much you wrap your enquiries up in 'scorn' - because nobody knows anything.

This forum is forever filled with rumours that are 'defo going to happen'. I'll admit that this one seems to have more legs than most, but honestly, we've been here so many times before - the pattern repeats itself endlessly.

Posts build up an increasing sense that it's going to happen imminently, and then suddenly, one morning - just like this morning - an element of doubt is cast because 'the deal has stalled' over some minor blip. After that, the posts become less certain that it's going to happen. And then it's not going to happen because such and such a thing screwed it up. And then everyone just forgets that it was ever mentioned, and all the way through this torturous process, there isn't a peep from either club to suggest that it was ever going to happen in the first place.
